Upgraded to iOS5 last night and wanted to make you aware of issues I am seeing on the MP App now. I go into More ... Choose my subscribed Forums Choosing any of the forums does nothing now - the forum does not open as it did before Note that the MP app does not shut down as it does with subscribed threads (see below) I go into More ... Choose my subscribed Threads Choosing any of the threads does nothing now - the thread does not open as it did before ,,, in fact after a second or two the MP app closes down ... when I go back into the same location the thread which I had tried to choose is now showing as having been read (no longer dark black) These things occur regarding of whether the thread/forum has new entries or not.
I upgraded for my iPhone and iPad both, and neither has any problem with MilePoint. I do have some other issues, it is not such a traditionally seamless upgrade as the others have been for me. But no problem with MilePoint. The other problems are only related to synching multiple App Store accounts.
Sorry i did not address the issue. All my subscribed threads, conversations etc are there. However, my iPad just froze... although my iPhone has not. In the meantime all my contacts did not synch properly so I only have my mast contact list on my desktop. I am not even trying to call Apple; all the reports say they're inundated. In the meantime I have successfully synched my SplashID on all three machines, so I do have the numbers, just not quite so conveniently. This is painfully like Windows. I hope this is not the future...
True. iPhone went ok and now iPad is restoring from initial settings. This upgrade has a very MS feel to it. Sent from my iPhone using milepoint
We're aware of the issue with milepoint crashing on iOS 5, particularly when accessing the "subscribed" threads. Removing and reinstalling the app does not appear to consistently resolve the problem. We should have an idea of when a fix will be available shortly.
New noted issue. Editing the signature in the MP app ... clicking on DONE causes the app to terminate. FYI.
Like Windows? I go a month-plus between reboots on my ThinkPad (with Windows 7). And the main reason for those reboots is to apply updates. Maybe like Windows 95, yes. Or MacOS 9. But both of those are ancient operating systems ...
Came across another app termination situation just now. Post a new reply to a thread. Choose to add a photo from an existing iPhone photo. Add photo. Before posting new reply, chose to delete photo. Action of clicking on delete photo caused app to terminate. [From my milePoint enabled iPhone]
I had a few such problems. I deleted several apps and reinstalled them today which seemed to solve all those problems.
I have already reinstalled the MP app - so that is not a resolution this time ... did you have this issue with the MP app and reinstalling resolved it?
Yes, the issues I had were absence of watched threads and Conversations. Reinstallation solved both of those for me.
Those are not the last issue I referred to. It was wrt inline photo attachments Regarding the missing threads. I see the threads by opening them caused a termination. This issue the MP team appears to know about. [From my milePoint enabled iPhone]
Thank you for the update sir. Really appreciate the team's continues great efforts on the front. [From my milePoint enabled iPhone]
Back to an iPhone...and had the same problem. As usual...the problem has already been reported and a fix is in the works. Gotta love MP! Thanks
Wanted to follow up on Randy's comment that the update should be live now in the store soon if not already.
Just downloaded and applied it. Previous issues re: subscriptions have been resolved. Thanks! [From my milePoint enabled iPhone]
