When you click on the banner ad, it tells you what benefits you get. I am not sure if everyone gets the same offer, so I am not copy/pasting here.

I vaguely remember someone mentioning this at FTU in April.

Just signed up for my premium membership!

yeah that's why I haven't posted anything specific. I would think that it would be generic to everyone, tho, if it's a fixed price.

it looks like the status changes to "premium member", as well. does that trump silver or gold? i don't like categorizing by who's paid more than someone else. the "medal" levels often indicate who spends more time here

And both a Silver and Gold both can become Premium members? That's Socialism! The Great Equalizer... :D At the very least, I'd think Gold members should become Super Premium members.

Appears to be a one-time fee.

I signed up and you all can see if my title changes (it did not). I get a lot from MilePoint so I’m happy to support it.

So Gold stays Gold? milecollector's title is Premium member now, presumably upgraded from "Active Member".

It seems like though that with several of the offers having a time limit that this premium membership will be an annual fee thing.

    For example:

    > One year of ad-free viewing on Milepoint.com
    > Free 1-year subscription to InsideFlyer.com
    > Free upgrade to AwardWallet Plus account and a free AwardWallet OneCard
    > Free upgrade to UsingMiles Premier Membership

You're pretty good at noting the value:
    - 2,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points purchased from Hyatt — $48.00
    - 2,000 United MileagePlus miles purchased from United — $75.25
    - 24-hour Gogo pass — $12.70 (on sale, normally $14.95)
    TOTAL: $135.95

Or you could do this the old fashion way ...
    - 2,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points earned by staying at Hyatt [Earn five Hyatt Gold Passport points for every eligible dollar spent at Hyatt whether you're spending the day at one of our spas, the evening at one of our restaurants, or the night at one of our hotels.] — $400
    - 2,000 United MileagePlus miles earned by flying DEN-MSY roundtrip #740/#630 — $252
    - 24-hour Gogo pass — $14.95 (not on sale)
    TOTAL: $666.95

Still seems like a pretty good deal and you don't even need to use the benefits to make this work.

Tip: BookYourAward never gives any discounts because the value is there to help you find and book those hard to find at times business and first class international awards. Two biz class seats to Florence, Italy in the best part of summer? BookYourAward fee is around $300 (worth it when thinking about sipping wine in Italy). 20% discount for being a Milepoint Premium Membership member ... $60. Cost of the Premium Membership ... $59.00, with all the other stuff simply the bonus. MasterCard might say ... priceless.

And continuing to support charities-of-choice? Off the charts.
