I completely agree. He is exactly in the center between Joe Stalin and Mao Tse-Tung. [IMG]

I, of course, like to think of myself as being in the center between Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman -- but politics has nothing to do with that particular fantasy,

Yes, Dovster has started to mature and develop a very liberal attitude. Unfortunately, he is only liberal towards the likes of Sarah and Michelle, but it's a start.

liberal, libertine, well, either way he starts off on the right foot... but sometimes he strays...

You really are trying to lure me into a lifetime ban on MP, aren't you? [IMG]

I think Bachman is too old for you.

Sarah Palin (born February 11, 1964)
    Michelle Pfeiffer (b. April 29, 1958)
    Michele Marie Bachmann (b. April 6, 1956)

Skyvillager need not lure. This was not entrapment. It was simple clear observation.
West of ORD does not immediately confer Khaddafi-like ideas, just as a lifelong effort to emulate your older idol, Silvio Berlusconi need not invalidate yours. Libertine BTW Gargoyle, has nothing to do with it even though he lives in the Lavantine.

Come to think of it, that would free up your time for other, fantasier activities. [IMG]

Nobody can be too old for Dovster. I looked up his Avatar on the internet and his Wiki says he was born in 1901. He's even too old for me. ;)

I personally think that certain FlyerTalk threads are becoming unreadable. They are too long...they rehash the same questions and concerns over and over. I'm disappointed with MilePoint's credit card threads though. I guess MP decided to agree with FT that there are basically only a couple of types of credit cards of interest to frequent flyers: Amex and Others. I disagree. I believe the huge credit card companies like Citi, Chase, Capital One, etc...should have their own groupings. Most of the recent huge bonus signups have been coming from the Others.

I think there is plenty of room for both sites.

For me, MP is probably getting the majority of my viewing time. That's not because FT is lacking in any way, but as a latecomer to FT I never really felt involved. I am hoping with MP being a newer site that I can make more of a contribution and get to know other posters.

Oh dear, as I am reading this, the radio has an ad for Beta Prostate. And it is a real radio station, not like a popup ad based upon the topic

Google is everywhere. They have linked your browsing to their keyword advertising to sensing what radio station or tv station you are watching. And this is just the start... think brain implant chips...

Actually MP is very young, and is very open to suggestions like that. Already changes have been made because of reader input. There is a forum just for suggestions like yours:
    http://milepoint.com/forums/forums/feedback-support-suggestions.46/
As MP grows, I'm sure there will be more forums created. So, go there and add your suggestion and any good reasons you have to back them up.

It's impossible to compare FT and MP, IMO. I've been a member of FT for over 7 years and can honestly say I have never gotten a bad piece of information from that site. Yes, there are megathreads and I do feel that FT has to revisit that protocol amd i am hopeful that it will. That being said, new information is always being added and it is bona fide. FTers have always been quick to correct erroneous information.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Randy but can't help but think he might have some regrets for selling FT. He built a wonderfully successful forum and has much of which to be proud. It had a long way to go IMO. But, what do I know? I feel certain that MP will be a great forum given Randy's experience and past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior.

From my perspective, I see FT as having the more seasoned traveller with MP having a more fun easy type feel but MP was just born. Who know where either will be down the road? I see a great deal of dedication on both forums. The talk of one forum eating up the other is ridiculous. Competition is good for us FFers and I don't feel that I need to choose sides and wish them both a lot of luck.
