Woohoo! One goal was to make it in time for my April trip so I'd have the luggage tags. If the turnaround on those is quick, they should make it... Now on to gold... oh wait, I think I just have to wait for that to happen on its own at this point...
And those people are the true posting machines--literally? It seems like I must have gotten some status achievements for high levels of activity within a day or other short time frame. Is that possible? x posts in a day or week gets you y points? I've also wondered if lots of posts in a particular forum should be rewarded.. Something like a DL expert or SPG god achievement. Or of course, High Society.
The luggage tags are nice. You should consider sending a couple of biz cards to the house of miles. They will make you card size luggage tags with the MP logo. I used them on the Kiva DO trip. It helped me recognize my bag of togas in the AS carousel. Schnitzel don't forget to redeem your Starbucks award for earning Gold status. Congrats.
OK, seen references before but... what is the house of miles? I found the website houseofmiles.com, but it looks very outdated and some of the pages load with no content. So where do I go to learn about this mysterious house?
houseofmiles.com is definitely a Randy site. Also interesting that there's no definition in the milepoint glossary for "house of miles"... given how many times it has been referenced, perhaps that should be remedied?
The primary requirement for gold status is to give every gold member of Milepoint at least 1000 likes. actually you need 6 months on Milepoint, (which you passed long ago) and 1000 status points (unless of course the criteria change in the future)
To get points you need posts and likes. A cute avatar and winning an iPad3 are helpful , but you need to post more.
I dunno... winning the iPad might have some posters like schnitzel out there trying to find a way to give negative points for "dislikes".
Milepoint took over all their computers Actually, Randy finally go his priorities straight: It's much more important to maintain the lie thread than to maintain the HOM site.
To be clear, I wasn't talking about your usual gruffness... I was just saying you'd be jealous of the iPad3 winners and want to sabotage their quest for silver, gold, platinum or unobtanium status on milepoint.
