my husband makes salami, sausage and other cured meats as a hobby. this lends itself to some fairly enterrtaining dialog. i'll be posting it in this thread from time to time for no particular reason. today, i read the following line over his shoulder in an email he was sharing with his meat-curing friends: "my hog middles are totally misshapen" accompanied by a picture of some sausage. when i mentioned i'd like to share this line, he wanted me to be very clear that it's not HIS hog middles are that are misshapen, his are 'nice and round,' it's his meat friend who has problems with misshapen hog middles. so now you know.
Some of my favorites from the past few months: "mr kk wants my help shoving his meat in a tube." "mr kk is in the kitchen, looking at his meat...and declaring it 'pretty.' it's honey glazed." "for those following the mr kk sausage saga, he just made a special rod to hang his meat on. seriously. " "i'd tell mr kk you're drooling over his meat, but that might be misconstrued."
mr kk is still emailing his new italian meat-curing boyfriends (described in the opening paragraph above) and says they're sending him about 30 emails a day. meat-curing is their religion. (pictures to follow)
Pictures?! Can't wait...lol.. If you make it to the COS DO, maybe you could bring some of his sausage
Since I never fail my physiology classes, please do remember to tell Mr. kk that if HIS hog middles are really "nice and round", there must be some human engineering mistakes taking place.
Your Magnificentness - I do hope that you share this thread with Mr. KK. He should be honored that we hold his meat in such high esteem that it warrants its own thread!

okay, so the boy doesn't talk much (on here) but as you can see, i convinced him to post some pics. yes, it's as good as it looks. i'm a very lucky girl.
Now I take that back. I am so sorry, EBTO, aka Mr. kk. Your HIS hog middles are indeed "nice and round." I probably should re-take my physiology class sometime. Not before I get to taste your meat though.
