New Caledonia on Skymiles?

    I know in the past AF flew to NOU from CDG via NRT, but now only codeshares Aircalin operated flights (from NRT, KIX, ICN). The KVS tool shows business award seats on the AF-coded/SB-operated flights in business class (O) for several dates. Anybody have experience redeeming Skymiles for these AF codeshares? I was hoping to book an award ticket with first leg from a US city to NRT, then on to NOU...

    If there is AF award space available, it should be searchable and bookable online on af and on dl. Find a day when you know there is available and see if you cal get it to show up online.

    While codeshares are not *generally* bookable on awards, some are (I think in these cases af has a capacity-purchase agreement in place rather than just a code share). I'm booked on award cdg-mru that is similar. Since it's af it should be easy to check.
