Here is the new LH F in their first refurbished A346 ( D-AIHT ). I think this is MUC-based... :

While the seats look comfortable, and the cabin has a nice colour scheme, there doesn’t seem to be much privacy. Does this cabin have privacy screens that move up when in flight, like Qantas F on the A380?

Nope, it obviously has screens like LH on the A380. ;)

Haha, haven’t seen that, still, judging from where I’d expect the screens to emerge from, it doesn’t look overly private. It does look lovely though.

The colour (at least on my screen) is nothing like what it actually is. Do a Google Image search for "lufthansa a380 first class cabin" to see what it should look like, e.g.

It looks almost identical to the F seat on the A380 except I can't tell if the ottoman on the A346 can be moved.

Ooh, not sure on the brown, I liked the blue better ;)

Though the first images look like photographs and the second, yours, a mockup.

If it is like the A380, it is very very nice.

looking at the picture it looks completely fixed into the structure of the wall, so i am also afraid it might not move...

So does the ottoman on the A380 but the base of the ottoman on the A346 seems to be attached to the base of the seat in front.

I am probably wrong on the sliding part for the A346...

just checked at a couple pics i had from the 380F, there appears to be a second structure inside that slides off with the cushion part... they are not great, but here they are:

here is the picture with the ottoman being brought forward:

quick thought, i remember a lot of discussion last year when the first A380 came out that the seat manufacturers were going to be changed after the 5th A380 came in service because of some problems LH had with the original maker. Did that ever happen? I guess I always assumed a different manufacturer meant different seats...

Anyway, it looks better than the current product!

It is a very nice product, I had the chance to try out the A380 and this looks almost identical.

Looks very nice, thanks for posting. The likelihood that I'll ever fly in "F" in a 3-Class cabin is very unlikely. But I guess I can dream :)
(Well there was that one time when I flew "F" on a 777 on UA from IAD-DEN when USAirways messed up my reservation -- but that really doesn't count since it was domestic travel)... LOL. (and those first class seats on the UA 777 didn't compete with these really nice seats).

Wonder what routes they will fly the new configuration on - and what the schedule is for the follow-on aircraft.

Wow, I'm going to put myself out there I know and say it, this looks like too much form over function. This seems really nice for a day flight, not sure how a night flight would be - privacy and quietness wise. So many carriers angle their seats in F most likely just for that reason.

I love this. I guess it might not be quite as private as some F seats, but you get great window access and everything looks really well done. Well done LH

This is what the seats look like when the privacy screen is up, it gives plenty of privacy. The person in 1D had so much privacy he decided to take his pants off.

I agree- some of the Pod type seatings are actually quite claustrophobic- LH has done a good job of balancing both privacy and open space.
