I thought the new LH F was supposed to be a wide seat AND A bed, not the traditional seat that folds into a bed?

    here's the shot

That is on the 747, apparently for the 346 it will remain as a lie flat bed seat due to space restrictions.

Yes, that is my understanding as well. Only the 747 (current) will have both- and this has more to do with width/weight issues than anything else.

Wow, haven't seen those pics yet. It sure looks like the proposed 747 configuration. This would actually be a product where I think that the price of an F ticket has a fair basis.

    Thanks for the picture! [IMG]

That really depends on what happens to F ticket prices :)

The idea is so that all LH F cabins will be for 8 passengers maximum. You can't turn every other F seat on the A346, A344 & A333 into a bed without reducing the number of F pax to 4! [IMG]

Which is probably around the number of seats per flight on average sold at full fare.

I think the New 747 F cabin could end up the best of the lot !

I'm will to bet that they are not selling on average 8 seats in F at full fare. I would say maybe 2-3 max at FF. We can probably check that out with flightaware, no?

No way I know of to know how many seats LH is selling at full fare unless LH wants to disclose that (doubtful). I have heard the number 4 enough times however to think it may have some meaning (although, again I really don't know).

Sorry, I thought your post above was saying EIGHT as the number of full fare in LH F. Four sounds a bit more plausible, although IMHO still a bit high.

Hi Tivoboy- I was referring to the four number posted above- in any event I don't think LH discloses this information. 4 could be possible, however, as an average.

Business Class is not changing until the roll out of the 748.

So on the A346 does the privacy screen pop up like it does on the A380? Or is there no privacy screen?

    Nope - it's FRA based

I feel like though, if they sell only 2-3 seats, the inflated prices pay for nearly 10-11 Y seats.

Anyone have any comments on the meal table? There were alot of teething problems with the meal tables on A380 (Contour seats). LH changed manufacturer to B/E for s/s 9 & later A380, plus all A330 / A340 & B747-800. The tables are a work of art - open the flip-up lid in the credenza, press the button (located just behind the rose holder) & the table pops up 0.5". It can then be manually lifted (gas spring assisted) & deployed - as it rotates, a mechanism unlocks to allow aft transition along the recessed channel in the side of the credenza (shown in black). Would be great to hear any comments if anyone has flown on the later seats?

    A380 S/S 1 - 8 were manufactured by Contour - after this DLH changed to B/E for remaining A380, A330, A340 & B747-800. Seats are aesthetically very similar...

Makes sense, as B/E is also manufacturing the LX seats that have the same design company as the LH seats.

Any way to track / predict where this is flying yet?

Excellent question- hopefully one of the LH gurus can post some information. I am curious to test this one out.
