You're telling me. ;) I signed on hoping to do three or four loans per month and am now up to 40!!!:D But i can quit at any time. Oh well just one more loan will not hurt.

Seriously, Kiva is a low to no cost way to do a world (literally) of good. Today, every $1,000 you invest in Kiva means you lose after taxes around $7 in interest. So $5,000 in loan outstanding, cost about $3 per month!!!

We really need to push for new members.

I too am a Nerdfighter. Once they start lending up to their potential, they will be awesome.

    I think they're awesome now!

I agree. I just am hoping when they decide to say "everyone please put $25 into kiva this month and we'll set records" that everyone does.

It is already beyond awesome that they/we have 75,040 total members and 20,364 members of their/our Kiva Lending Team, and have made it to 1.0 loan per member. Imagine any internet community with more than 25% of the members responding to a request to do something, anything!:D

True. A higher ratio of MP members on the MPKLT would be nice.

Percentage wise I'd say almost 70% of the people in said forum are already members of the MPKLT, but I agree. Never hurts to spread word of us here.

Randy must put out the word that only members of the MPKLT will be considered for MP Plaintum/Unobtanium/Soma status.

Check your delinquencies. Mine are down from 29 to just 11 :) and many of those are paying, just a little behind. Kiva calculates my delinquency rate at 0.37%.

I've been a nerdfighter for a while but just credited my first loan there. i always give teams I belong to at least one loan.

my wife hid my pocket protector years ago, but once a nerd .... ;)

My wife doesn't believe I am a nerd, just a nerd want-to-be. If I was a nerd, she says, I'd be rich.

Were you to have been a nerd, you might well have been richer, but possibly just more of a misfit.

I briefly met Mrs. KyRoamer at the KivaDo. He could not be richer at all.

Has anyone seen the new page layout for Kiva - Portfolio?

I can't find the links to the side panel items like Estimated Repayments.

Place cursor on portfolio tab and estimated repayments will appear.

Thanks. Appears to not be working on my Mac/Firefox, but will on Chrome.

Those pages are always browser-sensitive for me. I find them on Chrome sometimes, other times Firefox or Safari. Kivalens is even buggier, especially with large volumes. Not too long ago repayments would not function at all with active portfolio size above a level about 75 of us have already reached. That screen is very processing-intensive so IME it works best when you check at off-hours.

YMMV, of that I am certain!

    Regarding delinquency.
Anyone with a loan in Mali will be delinquent for some time. One of the captains of the Nerdfighters, Ben, posted a response from Kiva regarding the situation there. There was a coup in the south and an uprising in the north and the MFI is currently unable to transfer funds out of the region.

I just use good old IE and find it reliable.

I made two loans yesterday to Mali. This country is very poor and needs Kiva funds. Patience will be rewarded with repayments at the appropriate time.
