New United Website

A little nervous since this is my first post, but I just saw on another forum that the new United website is up in beta form: https://pss.united.com/ . It's what I expected with United logos replacing continental ones, but very cool is that if you login your new Mileage Plus numbers (as of 3/3) it will show your combined Mileage Plus and OnePass accounts.

Do keep in mind that the information shown there is not completely accurate, so don't be surprised if there is a change when it goes live.

Wonder if 1K cards will actually be white, or if that's just for contrast issues on the print-at-home version. White wouldn't be my first choice...

Don't forget the GS card, too.

It sounds like somebody wants a black card. Real life isn't "Up in the Air" you know.

I do enjoy looking at that site as it lists me as a GS. Only time I will ever see that I reckon.

I'd imagine all the cards, except for the general member card, would be glittery or sparkly, similar to the new United Club card.

Speaking of which, I couldn't figure out the URL for the general member card, either. Anyone know what it looks like?

I thought "1K" would have to be the largest print on the whole card

I like the GS, GM and Plat cards, but the 1K card is the worst of the bunch.

MASSIVE DOWNGRADE!!

I was hoping for pure platinum card cut out in the shape of a big K that comes complete with a built-in laser beam capable of taking out lesser elites who dare walk across the Premier Line carpet in front of me.

I think all elites should be given hats to wear that indicate their status. That way I will know if you're boarding before your designated group (I'm looking at you, Mr. Premier DYKWIA).

I'm hoping the "white" is actually a layer of embedded diamond dust, a reminder of crumbling benefits...

While I appreciate the CO website for reliability (sometimes), the whole design needs a complete refresh, we aren't in the year 2000 anymore. I also love the stock photo for 'UNITED FIRST' (the same guy having been there for how many years?)
As for the cards, why don't they just issue large oversize versions (Ala oversized cheque), so we can carry them around the airport, making sure everyone knows how important we are. GS cards can have built in LED lights that glitter as an extra perk.

Come on now. Frequent Fliers travel light. If it doesn't fit in 22" rollaboard, we won't use it. Now if they gave out customized 22" rollaboards....that would be fantastic. You could say that people using United-branded rollaboards would never be subject to gate check, and that non-United rollaboards would be removed in favor of United-branded ones. LED lights for GS, of course.

There is a guy who posted in the DL forum on FlyerTalk who had a DL Diamond hat made for himself. I'm sure he could hook you up.

The site does look pretty dated - but given how bad .bomb was, I'll take functionality over style at this point.

I don't like that guy in First - he's always looked as if he's up to no good. He probably uses his blanket as a napkin and pilfers the silverware.

Now *that* would be a change I think we'd like.

If only I still had 48k miles in my United account.

It doesn't have linkage to either of my Continental accounts. One of these days, they'll be properly re-linked. (I linked to an account that I then merged with an older account I'd forgotten about but had not only redeemable miles, but a chunk of miles for million mile status.)

My 1K cards from the early 2000s look nicer than these new designs.....
