Newark Airport (EWR) is currently closed due to an emergency landing. A Shuttle America flight from Atlanta came in without a nose wheel. It landed without the nose wheel and passengers had to evacuate down the emergency slides. There are no flights in and out of Newark for now. http://michaelwtravels.blogspot.com/2012/02/newark-airpot-closed-due-to-emergency.html
Apparently it's re-opened already? http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/loca...ng-Passengers-Emergency-Chutes-140646893.html
Who's writing this stuff? "It made an emergency landing near its scheduled destination at about 6:40 p.m" What, if not Newark, was its scheduled destination? The Hudson? "The flight was operating out of a Embraer 170." Does ATL fit into an Embraer 170 now?
Hey, it was the first article I found with a picture. The literacy level is another matter entirely. News sources have been slipping for years, sadly. (My own grammar's not perfect, but I do have a degree in creative writing.)
