[Oct 9, 2011] Pre-United Family Day Gathering @ SFO INTL Terminal Red Carpet... (San Francisco, CA)

Greetings MilePointers & Other Frequent Fliers!

As you know October 9th is United's Annual Family Day at the San Francisco International Airport from 11:00AM to 5:00PM for Invited Guests & Employees of United&Continental. So I am creating this thread as a meet-up for anyone who is attending this event on the 9th.

I will be in the United Red Carpet Club at the International Terminal at 9:00AM to 10:30AM before the United Family Day festivities. The International Terminal RCC is convenient and close to the Terminal 3 Baggage Claim Pick Up/Drop off point to the United Maintenance Facility.

If anyone needs to be guested into the RCC please do not hesitate to contact me on MP or FT and I will do my best to work things out!

I will also be attending. While I fly in on Friday night, I can always find my way into the RCC to meet-up with FTers/MPers that will be attending. I can also sponsor two people into the club.

SF local here. Is there a way to get an invite to the United Family Day gathering?

Unfortunately it filled up fairly quickly (within 24 hours), with a decent waitlist already. But you can still join the pre-party

I'm giving up my spot at the Family Day as taking 9:24 am flight down to LAX. Take lots of pics everyone & GOOD LUCK with the plane pull. See you at the Andaz.

if I was inclined, which I'm not, don't think it would take all that much time; much easier at the Andaz as my room is a whole lot bigger than an airplane lav!

Yeah, I'm seriously contemplating leaving family day about 1 to be able to grab lunch at in-n-out just outside of SFO, since we won't have time to do it at LAX

It's too bad the plane pull starts so late..

For those of us staying downtown, we'll have to find somewhere to store our bags during the family day.

Is the international RCC the best one to meet in? The domestic one is just a moving walkway length from the baggage claim area..

I checked, there is a storage place at SFO, in the International Terminal.

For In-N-Out, its just one BART station down from SFO

there is one not far from Andaz

That would be logical. You should know the In-N-Out trips from the airport have nothing to do with logic

I get in on the 8th.. Not sure how I could get to Airside in the first place much less RCC..

If you fly in on the 8th, just walk over the the RCC. I'm sure one of us could meet you, or use your *G card.

Still fails to resolve getting the General through Security for the 9th At least we will have tickets for later in the afternoon
