Photo TR: LH A380 First Class & A346 (old) First Class JFK-FRA-DUS-FRA-EWR

I booked this trip about 11 months out using 125k (pp) US Airways miles and was able to get my brother and myself 2 seats on Lufthansa in First Class from JFK-FRA on a 744 and returning FRA-EWR on a 343. A few months later, I heard the rumors of LH switching to an A380 for one of their JFK-FRA routes and tried to change to a 744 to JFK on the return to maximize my shot at getting a chance to sample the new A380 first class, but unfortunately someone already snagged all the award seats and none opened up even though I checked every day. A few days later, it was official and I was one of the lucky few that had booked a LH F award ticket and would be traveling on the brand new A380 JFK-FRA. A little later and our 343 FRA-EWR was changed to a 346 so there was a sliver of hope that we’d experience the retro-fitted F class, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case.

So without further ado, here is my trip report of JFK-FRA LH F on the A380 and FRA-EWR LH (old) F on the A346. (I'll skip the FRA-DUS-FRA portion)
