MP doesn't feel complete without it so here's a guessing game with some easy rules. In a nutshell one member posts a photo of an airport and everybody else has to guess the airport name/location. Obviously the photo shall not reveal too much information but also should not be impossible to guess at all. Players post their guesses as individual posts. The poster of the photo shall name the winner aka the person who first posted the correct airport name/location. Players may also post questions, e.g. on the continent of the airport of carriers serving the destination. The poster of the photo may also pro-actively give clues if nobody guesses the proper airport name/location. The player who first identified the airport may post a new photo or allow somebody else to post one. The photos may contain airport buildings, airport surroundings, a birds eye view, architectural details or anything else which can be used to identify its location. I will write a more complex rule set shall it become necessary. jbcarioca is keeping the score. Current score is in this post: http://milepoint.com/forums/posts/415928/
Bilbao, Spain (BIO) is correct. Congratulations. Now it's up to you to find something more challenging.
*fist pump* Gimme an hour or two, I have to go jogging and then grab dinner. I'll comb through what I have and see what I can throw on there!
Oh, Kwai is one tricky guy. The language is not Thai, it's Lao. The airport is Luang Prabang (LPQ) and tricky, tricky Kwai gave us a photo without the English translation, which is on the right had side of the building. Or so, I think, anyway.
jbcarioca is 100% correct. It reads, 'sanam bin Luang Pabang'. For whatever reason the city is pronounced as the Thai would spell it,'Prabang', even though the letter 'r' doesn't exist in the name. More to the point, the letter 'r' doesn't exist in Lao. Looks like a new airport pic is due.
I will offer one hint. The airport is the only one in the world located as it is, although thousands of others could be so located, none are.
