Hmm it needs to be further south and east...I'm going to take an educated guess with Port Heiden. It would fit all of the clues that have been provided so far. It Gardyloo's post is indicating that RedTape is wrong with the lat & longitude, then I'd think the most likely candidate is Atka Island.
We can't post a new pic to work on until the previous one is solved, rules of the game.... But that's the Bozeman, MT airport I believe.
D'oh! Sometimes I can't tell my left from my right, either. Too far NORTH and too far EAST Funtodoimpossible: Atka is even closer than your first guess....and not too far off in another way, either.
Sorry, the threads on the previous ones were dragging on and I didn't notice that it wasn't solved. But BZN is correct.
*Ding* ADK - Adak. I went up that way on Labor Day weekend in 2006. We lucked into some great sunny (albeit windy) weather. Arriving on Thursday and leaving Sunday, we covered quite a bit of the Island on foot, paid $10 for a pound of hamburger, and encountered the absolute worst, rudest Alaska Airlines employee ever. (Good thing she's out in the sticks!) and now your turn, DestinationDavid.
Yikes, perhaps I should stop playing since I've already admitted I don't have very many airport pictures. Give me a few and I'll post what I can!
Pulled from one of my photo apps on my Iphone. Should be easy to figure out but hey, I'm limited for now!
AFAIK ADK is the westernmost jet-capable airport in the world, certainly in the USA. Interestingly, SYA - Shemya (USAF base) is the easternmost airport in the USA. It was the next stop on Reeve's Electra (and briefly 727) run out the chain.
Good enough to have gotten it right I figured it wouldn't be too hard to narrow down the location based on the two planes. Your turn.
