My main problem is my wife thinks that I have enough gadgets as it is and at this stage can not convince her otherwise.
That will be my best bet, I have already shown it to her on the apple site and I think she is impressed. Or I could just get one and hope she does not notice the difference.
Planning on getting the iPad 2 ... then the next one after that too However have concerns now about the screen resolution on the iPad 2 ... but will get it anyway and then the iPhone 5 and then ...
There should be another option on the poll - I already have a iPad that I got in 2010 and won't be buying a new one anytime soon.
I love buying new gadgets, I just can't justify this right now, maybe next year if the next model is very different or improved. Love apple products, my next will be a replacement to my older 15 inch MacBook pro which kinda needs replacing later this year.
I think Apple products are an every other year purchase/upgrade, kind of like sports video games. Every year it's just an incremental upgrade but if selling the current one can help you purchase the new one with minimal out of pocket costs, it's not a bad deal.
I've wanted an iPad 2 since the iPad 1 was released. And then Randy had to go and announce this contest......and now I have to wait another 3 weeks before I can order it from the Apple Store. I only have a work-supplied laptop and a work-supplied Blackberry, so I want something that's just mine.
I don't own any apple products but would like to start now. Really would like to get an Ipad 2. 3G Also like the Iphone4, I saw.
Yes, darling daughter reminds me daily about that fact. Not that it would be for me... However, I may inherit her Iphone3 though.
Although I am very interested in the iPad2 (especially if they are being given away ), if I have to purchase one, I may consider it against RIM's Playbook, which should out be this month.
I had been thinking about getting one anyway so now that the new one is out, I'm going to go pull the trigger.
I would not buy an i-pad. I'll gladly take and use one if given. But if I was spending money I'd stick to android. That said, I don't see the use of spending 800 on a tablet when my whole laptop didn't cost that. But sure. I do WANT a tablet. I just don't see the cost/benefit being on my side.
I have the first iPad and, right now, do not see any pressing reason to upgrade. I will, however, be getting the new iPhone that is coming out later this year.
Perhaps if I can convince my spouse....? God god man (good manners prohibit me from typing out any of the 4 or 5 responses that come to mind). (all of these combined)
I'm doing the same. As long as I cannot purchase an iPad 2 this month, anyway, I figured that I would stick it out to see what RIM's Playbook is all about. I will probably hit up our corporate IT Blackberry guru for his advice once I am in the free and clear (Randywise) to make a tablet purchase. Then again, I hope I have the opposite problem, which is winning one of the iPad 2's and not getting caught up in analysis paralysis over which tablet will best meet my needs.
I am disappointed with the low res cameras and the lack of a rear LED flash. But I will still upgrade. Sold my 64 gb 3GS on Gazelle for a great deal and got 5% bonus with the code TWIT and an additional 5% for taking payment with an Amazon gift card. For me, the iPad is a great way to pass the time on those long flights. I enjoy watching podcasts TV shows. And if anyone is looking for a great case, I highly recommend the ZooGue.
