Never saw this until today. This is definitely good news considering Emirates is no longer a partner since last year.
That it is and fwiw, there has been for the past few days or so, very weird (and unseen by me in the past) award availability-such as 3 saver C awards IAD-CDG, MIA-CDG with C returns to PBI as well Now granted this is for October and I can understand finding partner availability but Saver C x3 IAD-CDG on UA metal?
I've also noticed an unusually high amount of IN/ON availability (but not nearly as much I/O) on dozens of UA-metal flights at peak travel times. UA flights have been a great placeholder for *A reward travel this summer, as more-desirable partner flights come available at strange times for the dates I want.
I would love to experience their biz class. Stuff of Legend. I have enough miles to get out there but not enough to return....
Sweet, thanks Jim. I can now plan my next award trip to the subcontinent on the nonstop flight IAH-DOH.
Well, QR does fly some South Asia fifth freedom routes like SIN-DPS, KUL-HKT, BKK-HAN/SGN- so you could do a UA intra-South Asia C award with some of those segments mixed in with other SQ and TG segments for 35,000 UA miles. (Last year, when that award was 5000 miles cheaper and EK was still a partner, I sampled EK C on BKK-HKG that way.) Alternately: Hawaii-South Asia in C is only 75,000 UA miles.
Truely g-dsend. Thank you, United. This is why I give you all my business, and force my employees (who travel on my budget) do to the same.
