ATL: March 15 at 9pm. (Executive) Too many Impalas, a few Altimas, a few Avalons, a few Sonotas, 2 Camry, 1 Jetta, 1 Passant, 1 Crown Vic. Not a bunch of SUV, but that maybe because folks like 'em:).
Road trip time, so I was hoping for a Regal. But I ended up with the only Buick, a silver Lacrosse. Close to 20,000 miles. A scrape down low on the rear bumper:mad:, a scratch by the headlamp, and a curbed hubcap. I pointed it out, and it was duly noted.(and yeah i photoed the whole car) It's still a handsome ride, and I don't mind renting it as long as National does not try to hold me up when I turn it back to them! A silver Buick is a sentimental favorite for me, as my Granny use to ferry us kids around in her silver Eisenhower era Buick.

I am Exec Elite and I rent with them a lot.
LAS always has some really cool car last time I almost picked up a mustang.
DEN gives me nasty impalas every time.
SLC always has really nice SUV either a GMC or Chevy. Even though some don't like those brands how can you go wrong with all leather and xm radio.
DSM national car rental HATES me, every time I go I get a real mid size car like a small Kia or something like that with no sat radio. And driving in all those corn fields I need xm. And you can't pick they just give you what ever!!!
RNO is a hit or miss I feel like I'm better going with budget because if you show up late all the Tahoe crowds will take the good cars. Last time they wanted to give me this huge 50 billion seat SUV I was like really!!!
DFW always surprises me even there mid size cars are nice.
OMA gave me the nicest car yet a VW CC. I would have to say it was the nicest rental ever.

PDX late evening on a Wed.

Exec was two mini-vans, a pick up, a bunch of Chevy trash (probably impalas, but it hardly matters), and one lonely Altima with >20k miles.

    I took the Altima.

EWR tends to have a lot of massive trucks in the executive aisle (not my kind of vehicle). And sadly most satellite radios are not active, even on low-mileage cars. Generally far too many Impalas and Camrys. I'd choose a Fusion, Malibu or Sonata but often there are none to be found.

Last week I did spot a Buick Lacrosse, which was quite good (4000 miles on this one, satellite radio not active). The previous time I had VW Tiguan (first time I have ever seen one as a rental). Back at EWR again on Wednesday, we'll see what comes up this time.

PDX - i'm there almost every week. it's a hit or miss, they have a "VIP" section where most of the time, they tell me I have to pay to upgrade, but occasionally they let me take one from there. I've gotten CTS, Lincoln Navigator, DTS, Genesis, Maxima, VW CC, Enclave. On a "bad" day, you'll find chargers, impalas and a bunch of minivans.

It seems to depend on the location. Person at aisle has brought me to excellent luxury vehicles a few times while, for example, at FLL last week the person could not even find my name on the renters' list and I had a choice of many Chevies (no Impalas), a few Nissans, & one Passat.

ATL: April 7 @ 7pm. With the Masters, there were no SUVs. The nice representative said I could take my pick of anything but luxury. But basically, there were Impalas, Sonatas, and Altimas. No Buicks or Avalons.
Over in that one "non-Emerald" aisle there was a Cruze, which I took. My first time with the Cruze and I was impressed; handsome, comfortable ride, and surprisingly good around town gas mileage.:)

This week in Charlotte I wound up in a 2012 dodge challenger with less than a hundred miles on it. The car even comes with a 0-60 time built into the dash info system.

4/19 morning in AUS was like a field in winter.

Two minivans and an Altima in the aisle and a lone pick up in executive (or maybe the other way around).

    SNA tonight around 4:30:

    Executive stuffed with Chrysler 300s

Aisle was a mix of Altimas and Impalas.

A handful of minivans on both sides.

I found a lonely Maxima with 800 miles, power everything, and a sunroof. We'll call that a win.

Must have been an Enclave. Regal's aren't SUVs

Nothing to report for me lately. I've been on another Sonata streak.

5/7 at LAS: Selection of Altimasabd random Chevy's. Grabbed the one Chrysler 200 convetable from the executive.

5/8 in PHX was a much better pictures. Great selection of Maximas, Avalons, a couple of Accords, and various SUVs. Wound up taking a very low mile Maxima.

MCO on 5/17: Executive had tons of Avalons (seems they never run out), some Camrys, impalas, and assorted other stuff. One GMC cross-over thing, a low-feature Passat, and assorted dross.

Took an Avalon with power everything, <10k miles, sunroof, leather, satellite radio, etc. Really digging the Avalons lately.

ATL: May 29 @11 am. It was busy. Thought I might try an Avalon; but there was only one, and somebody got to it before me. Impalas and Altimas. No Buicks. Small suv's were popular with the customers. Eventually walked back over to the "non-Emerald" aisle and found a red Sonic LTZ with 5000 miles.
Enjoyed the Sonic. It was a definite improvement over the old Aveo. Around town mpg at 31. Although the cabin nor the ride were as comfortable as the Cruze, I truly enjoyed the nimbleness of the tiny car.:)

At EWR on Friday June 1 at 2:30 pm, I was able to get a Lincoln MKZ with just under 1900 miles on it. A very comfortable car.
