So the rumours were true, the sign was up yesterday, the UA Club at EWR concourse A1 will close as of 11 November. We'll be able to use the one in concourse A2, but that will require either using the bus service, or clearing security twice. Unless AC opens an MLL there, but given that it will be only AC, JetBlue and Southwest in A1, the odds are rather slim on that.
Hopefully they will open an MLL in EWR, like they have done with the old CO Pres Club in LGA - esp given that Porter has opened their own lounge at EWR!
Yes, the shuttle runs A1-A2-C. Every 10 minutes reputedly. If I need to do the shuttle, I would probably go through security at A2 (C security lines are atrocious), hang out at the lounge, and then take the shuttle just once, from A2 to A1. The lounges in C are way bigger but they can also be very busy.
