http://www.yomiuri.co.jp/national/news/20110408-OYT1T00491.htm SDJ will reopen on April 13 with JAL operating 1 HND daily, 2 ITM daily flights, and ANA operating 3 HND daily flights JAL to resume flights to Sendai on April 13 ANA to resume Sendai flights on April 13
Is this taking last night's earthquake into account? 'cause if made a real mess of things (like the roads, power supply, etc.). Here's hoping!
yes JAL and ANA still plans to operate those flights. NH will use an international 777-300ER with special slogan (Forward together as one Japan) on it too. You can escape in style and fly on their international First Class seat for "cheap" if you want
Sounds good to me. We just had another strong aftershock (although I presume it was much stronger in Fukushima, as the epicenter seemed to be directly under the nuclear plant there). Nice to have a good escape route
Some pictures of today's SDJ. It's hard to imagine this is the same airport that got flooded more than a month ago. http://twitpic.com/4k6m81 http://twitpic.com/4k676b
News from HK: 仙台機場關閉34日後恢復 (08:23) It says to fully recover, it will take at least 6 months. So don't expect to have much flights to/from SDJ till then, sendai king
