I have been on a long trip to Africa with LX and just noticed AE does not give double tier miles for LH group airlines. Great way to keep me away from them when possible. Also if AE/AC offers double miles as a tier benefit why have exceptions. Its either a full benefit or not and they should tell LH that's the program.
The exceptions can be pretty annoying, but then it's the same for all of the codeshare/fare class rules that don't make any sense either. Quite a pain to get home and see less miles/bonus miles than was expected.
Looks like I will have about 130 ecredits and over 50K SM's going into March. So it looks like I will easily make SE for 2012. I'm still waiting for AC to do something about the ECERT LAUNCH SCREWUP. Pretty poor. They owe us one.
Indeed - if tracking is correct I will have 115 credits and over 60K status miles ... looking forward to trying out the new eUpgrade program.
I won't actually earn my first 2011 threshold credits until March as most of my Jan/Feb travel has been short-haul. But should be able to test out the eUpgrades soon, as well.
