In a recently restored historic bank building, the Sheraton Columbia Downtown offers a boutique hotel stay within the SPG fold. Rooms have hardwood floors. Photos throughout the hotel are of the city's sites. Many features of the bank building were preserved and incorporated into the renovation. The original tile floor remains in the lobby. The bank vault door now brings you into the martini bar. I just ran across a new discount for this hotel: $105/nt + tax for USC Athletics Fans and Visitors. SET code 213137 This rate appears to be the best rate ($105) on many dates this year, but the worst rate ($329) for some peak weekends during the football season.
The Sheraton Columbia Downtown Hotel has just been awarded the prestigious honor of a 4 Diamond AAA ranking! The fairly new Hilton by the convention center also recently got a 4-diamond ranking from AAA. The Sheraton's restaurants and bars are all currently featured on restaurant.com, too.
