For active members of the milepoint Kiva Lending Team, milepoint will be handing out Benjamin's at the event—we are providing each room reserved for the event, a $50 per night (up to the two nights for the event schedule) stipend to be paid in cash (thus our good friend Ben Franklin) during the event on Saturday morning. This will reduce your hotel cost to $109 per night and allow you to earn SPG points at the higher rate!

I am reserved to arrive on March 8 and depart on March 11

Is anyone else having trouble signing in to their SPG account when trying to book the room? When I enter my log-in info, the screen just refreshes without changing.

I did not have that problem.

I tried three different browsers and never got it to allow me to log in with my SPG info, but then I noticed that there was a text box for entering the SPG number anyway. So, I registered without signing in and that worked fine: the reservation already shows up when I log into SPG (separately)!

I'm in! But I guess that may not be a big surprise!

I tried three times and all I got was a message:
Rooms are no longer available on-line. Please contact the Sales Department at 415-627-6505 for further information.

oops! I will make a call tomorrow to tell them there is a problem.......or all our preassigned rooms are booked!

Yes, something is fishy if all rooms are booked after 3-4 people make reservations.
How many extra rooms did you book for your entourage, canucklehead?

OK, did a little diagnosis of the rooms. It appears that 03/09-03/11 is available, but as we requested fewer rooms for 03/08-03/09, they have already been filled. We will call and ask them to release more rooms. Please bear with us, the SWF tried to get the online reservation working all day and just got it up, but they have left for the day.

Is it possible to open up Sunday night too? I was thinking of making a long weekend out of this...

Those who are booking rooms will be able to book for March9-11 and we were also given option to book +/- 2 days on either side. We will try to get it adjusted by tomorrow 5pm PST.

I am trying to book 8 checkin 11 checking out, no success for same reason

BTw I will be making my way there, IN COACH! because....well, I don't have the travel this year to get solid upgrades next year. That is unless I start my world your in SFO, that would be mighty fine.

by the way, for those who may not know, the other canucklehead is Wolverine of the X-Men, who was sometimes referred to as a canucklehead. Clearly you can see I am more of a red panda!

Any way we can get the stipend bonus if we're local (and thus not staying at the hotel)? I'm less than 3 miles away, so it's hard to justify diverting Kiva funds to a hotel.

Hello All:

1) We spoke with the Reservations Manager and they have released another block of rooms for Thursday, so those who wish to book Thur Mar 8-March 11 can do so. Please note that if the error message occurs again, we can request another block of rooms (for Thur March 8th, we requested fewer rooms, but they are willing to give us more as needed for this and all other days).

2) For FrequentMiler and others who wish an extended period at this hotel. We also negotiated that rate for +/-2 days outside of the contract, so people can stay as long as they wish from March 6th-13th if they so wish. Please book the 3 days using the website, and then open a conversation with me with your email address, for which wewill communicate with the ResManager and she will follow up with booking the extra days. Sorry for the hassle, but the website was set up this way so that the we would not incur extra room obligations for rooms not booked.

So, if I am understanding you correctly, we will get the $159 rate for any days we book during this period , March 6-13?

Per the agreement, as long as the March 8-11 period is booked, guests will be provided the group rate 2 days pre- and post-event, provided the hotel has availability. This will be verified with the ResManager via email when you request the additional days.

I'm booked, arriving 9th departing 11th. Once the program is finalised I may change to include the 8th.
