When do you leave home for the Launch?

At this stage the 1st. I have around 30 hours in DC but will likely change that on Monday and go to NYC with a few people for dinner at Steak Frites

The Mark 2 do that fell apart (no lunch nor DC3 flight now, it's been re-scheduled till August at this stage which is a bit of a bummer).

Am also out of SYD on 1/06 at this stage. Think Wijomas is too. Just time to do the washing & pay a few bills, then turn around!,

Via lax. & (blush) on UA.. 1st... Was only 16000 points return SYd LAX PHX DCA IAH LAX SYD, with the trans PAC in F. Tried to book with CC & use a system wide upgrade,but the system choked. 3 times. Put in the res, my details, my cc details. 3 times. And it choked.!!! Looked at points to see if somehow I could sample the UA trans PAC product.
My next option was my usual, & the one 8'm most comfy with, Qantas. Don't need the extra points with them this calendar year, but I do like flying with them..

So, If you are on QF 7, we may be in SYD for a small while together. Could catch up..

What is your eta into DCA? At this time it looks like mine is 10pm. Just in time for the night owl party!!

At this stage I get in just after 11pm. MEL-SYD-DFW-DCA. I have a stupid long layover in DFW as I couldn't get availability from DFW to DCA (around 5 hours!).

Hopefully I can find something earlier. What time is your SYD flight out?

I did it in reverse....attended the launch party then had to give up my seat for OWMD.

You nearly had a heart attack, but the bigger danger is going to be the riots caused if the SMD4 is filled up without any public opportunity. Good thing the HOM is in a remote, undisclosed location.

How many are arriving on Friday June 1st - even if late? If so locals here can get something organized as an Early Birds welcome. If a couple post yes, then we can set up a separate thread.

Probably will arrive June 1. Havent booked yet.

I will go ahead and setup a separate thread for people to indicate their arrival date/time and interest in a social on Friday night. Our "Community" group is very active in DC area - and we have frequent get togethers.

I might arrive Friday afternoon. Obama is coming through my airport about them and I'm trying to decide which flights to book.

Yes, that's what I was implying I believe we were there at the same time, for the same event, which also included a visit to the infamous tequila bar of the HOM founder.
