Waiting is the hardest part of SMDIV, but it certainly causes the anticipation level to rise to higher levels.
Hi everybody, After lurking on the sidelines for the past few months, I finally decided to join the game. SMD4 looks like it's going to be quite an adventure. Hopefully, I won't miss out on the opportunity.
Passed by a Cavenders Western Wear store today in San Diego, really wanted to stop by and do some shopping for SMD4, unfortunately I didn't make it back there. I suppose it might be worth waiting to make sure I can get a seat, but that seems overly conservative and boring. I have a trip to the big D planned in Dallas, I'll make sure to do some shopping when I'm there.
Why let details get in the way of a critical lifetime purchase? Western warehouse, cavender's, and schepler's are known to send out coupons if you get on their mailing list ahead of time.
Will the pre-sales be restricted say to certain rows or is the entire plane opened up for the pre-sale? If the former, there may not be anything left but middle seats and a few window seats in the back left for most of the MegaDo kettles to purchase when the "regular" opening of sales occurs.
We're only making a specific number of seats in each category available for pre-sale. So, there should be a bit of each category on sale during general sales.
Will it be possible to do the TATL portion only? I don't think I'll have enough vacation to take the full week.
OK, isn't it time to book yet??? Foot tapping, hand on hip... Have tried wringing my hands. Doesn't work. Look at the clock every few minutes.. doesn't work. The calendar lies to me. I tell you! It lies!! It looks like it may be another 22 days to go... gasp!.... How will I (we) survive?? Will the western world's economy crash (again) when the frantic posting starts if Randy starts up a thread & announces a random draw for a seat on the Charter?? How was anyone working during that time?? It's enough to bring down governments & cast a blight on crops.. And meanwhile, like so many others, I check the MP SMD site each day. Ok, a few times a day, just to feed the habit you understand. Others here know how I feel. It's so little to keep me going, yet somehow ... it works....
WOW, you need to chill, girl! And here I thought Ozzies were supposed to be more relaxed, while it was the Kiwis who were the more crazy ones. What was I thinking?!? If you want to burn off nervous energy, why not focus on drafting some practice text messages for me to send to my wife? Though truth be told, she is fully aware of this trip, so no need for me to make last-minute excuses this time. I will say that after ParanoiaTX, FriendlySkies, and I almost got *were* stuck in the "Super Bowl" while dune bashing in the Dubai desert this past weekend (and were it not for premonition / last minute backing out, From NYC would have been with us), that my perspective on what to stress out about has shifted just a tad. Though (sadly?) the thought did cross my mind as we were stuck in sand, with 50C/122F heat beating down upon us, and dehydration setting in, "Oh no, what if we miss the SMD4 booking window?"
I think SMD4 was the last thing on my mind climbing out of that sand pit. Holy batman that sand was hot...
The trick is to distract yourself by simply flying somewhere else. Working for me... And please no PWP...the economy can't handle the work stoppage.
I'd definitely go with the latter. Definitely. Best part was we went snow-skiing just a few hours later. Great way to cool down after all that heat. Dubai is fun...
