SQ Set on final 744 flight.. Or will 388 checking delay the final phase-out?

While I think the proportion between male and female FAs on my recent flights is about the same as before, I also note that there are less and less male FAs with the blue stripes tie. Are they all hiding in the galley or is SQ not recruiting new male FAs anymore?

Well, perhaps because most SQ FAs no longer sees the job as long term.. And many potential FAs are no longer interested in the prospect of working in SQ. I don't know, I might be persuaded to keep the whole cabin crew female only like NH..

The Flight Global article mentioned that she has been flying since 1986 and only stopped flying last year when she was promoted to be a cabin crew executive.

I've been on ANA flights that not only had males FAs, but they were not Japanese either.

And they spoke Japanese fluently.

That's odd... ANA FAs seems to be all females, although one of them did mention there are limited male FAs in their system. 3/3 of my flights were all females.. Including a NRT-JFK leg.

The name sounds familiar and I believe I had her in one of my F flights in the past though I can't 100% remember as I've had too many flights with SQ.

High anticipation level of SQ crews (especially in F & R) is really one their trademarks IMO. They posses this trait better than CX F crews judging from my experiences.

I've had male crews onboard NH in both F & J. But the large majority of the ones I've gotten have been gals.

Yup too many SQ and too much flying that it's quite a challenge at times to remember everything. Though the bulk of my SQ flights (especially for F & J) came in 2006-2009. 2010-present have been more limited.

Well, it might not have been Dom or Krug but the Charles Heidsieck she was pouring was also very quaffable

Saying ANA has an all female cabin crew is different than having had an all female cabin crew on 3 out of your 3 flights ;-)

As always, I need to reword my sentences.. In the end, this proves that I have to fly ANA a whole lot more..

just did HND-FRA on NH....... and we had a male German FA.......... I thought he was a businessman at first until he started serving!
