Star MegaDO 4 - Pre event discussion

I've used 3 of my 4 Hyatt suite upgrades and did not find them to be such a great deal. The Hyatts are very nice even without the upgrades.

Sitting at my desk on a Monday morning when I was suddenly seized with an uncontrollable urge to begin planning for SMDIV. But then I realized there was nothing to plan for and was forced to get back to work.

I know...anxiously waiting.....

And hoping it is not announced in a thread to which I am not subscribed

IIRC, new threads related to DOs are typically referenced in the 'pre' thread!

In the run up to SMD3 I discovered several new threads in the SMD3 forum which were not advertised in the main SMD3 thread, including one inviting sign-ups for an event that was full by the time I noticed the thread, so these things do happen. One feature that would be nice is to be able to subscribe to a forum and be notified when new threads are created.

Sorry if this is somewhere in the thread but I'm having no luck finding it. Have any dates been announced, or, roughly when? Is it for sure Sep/Oct/Nov? Or do we have any date/rough date for launch party?

I want to book an October cruise and don't want to duplicate any itineraries, or conflict dated with SMD. Patiently waiting, and hoping for a labor day DO.

Did they update the T&C since I posted those T&Cs to include Park Hyatt Chicago? If not, maybe you got a bad agent and should call again.

The Aussie dollar just got back above 1.08 US. Now would be a really good time for those of us DownHere to put our money down for the SMD4 Charter, as well as a few fast auctions. While we're feeling wealthy... (and recalling back in 2000 when it was .48 US)

Same from "Euroland": our single currency bounced back to a more sustainable exchange rate with the USD.

So, guys, how soon now before an announcement? Give us a crumb. Just a small crumb would do .. Was to be a couple of weeks after OWMD1. Even with jet lag,I can tell we are past that!

Well my US$1 is still US$1 and should stay that way - But I am ready to but my(our) money down.

I'm happy at 84c. Wish they'd just peg the damn thing at 1 USD to 1 NZD and tell the NZ exporters to stop complaining though.

And the CDN $ is at a 5.5 month high against the USD... love those rising oil prices! Their good for one thing!

It didnt help me moving from Australia to the US for school, seemed almost pointless saving all they money that I had done

Currency fluctuations aside, it would be useful to know if this Do is still planned, and if so, which dates. I've just tentatively booked 2 separate weeks in Sept for work stuff. At this point I still have some influence over work dates in Sept but that will rapidly disappear.

I agree with RCyyz.

I know it has been only a few weeks after the OnewWorld Mega Do. Having been part of the first MegaDO, I do not want to miss this one. Hopefully we will know the date soon so that I can arrange my work schedule around this...

I missed the last 2 Star MegaDO's due to work commitments....
