LOL..... awaiting to match our availabilities
Having just been in Denver this week and enjoying the Sim from our fundraising for the Jason Dahl Scholarship, it is extra sad to hear that Sandy Dahl passed a few hours ago ( read in Denver Post). Sincere condolences to family and friends who have lost another. RIP Sandy & Jason
That is very sad news. My condolences to her daughter and family, and those who worked with her over the last decade at the Jason Dahl Fund (Capt Dosch, Denny and many others)
Very happy gonna do the flightsim in denver tonight......
BTW I saw a lot of 787 looking wings on flatbed trucks along I-80 today!
Have fun, but don't crash the plane! ;-)

Are you kidding? That's what makes SIM time so fun!
Oh, the places I’ve crashed a sim. My favorite was right into Sugarloaf Mountain in Rio.
Maybe we should do a megado SIM crash locations page, just to see all the wonderful places, and give places to strive for
My head is still springing from last night.........
Got an email from Hyatt Montreal asking us to patronize them again!
So did I. A "Thank You" note 10 months after the stay. Seriously?

I thought it was a bit odd, but I liked that hotel the most out of the three.
Strangely enough, the email worked!! Had a two-day stay planned at Le Centre Sheraton and changed it to one day at the Hyatt and one day at the Sheraton so the grandkids could experience both hotels and learn about mattress running!
There’s also some sort of contest for a free night in a suite and dinner that’s linked in the email. That page is all in French with no translation that I could see, but I’m up earlier than usual, so eyes may not be at full power yet.
From the contest page:
Get a chance to win a VIP night for 2 people in the prestigious Hyatt Regency Montreal in the heart of the city sights.
The winner will get a dinner for two at the gourmet restaurant Six Hyatt Resto Lounge at the hotel, followed by a night in a luxury executive suite with breakfast included.
It's simple for the chance to win, share this contest with friends to increase your chances!
The prize includes (for 2 people):
a gourmet dinner @ the Hyatt
one night in an Executive suite
Deadline for registration:
JUly 16th at 1000h (EST)
Eligibility - ope to those 18 and over. (Except individuals and family members working in relation to this promotion)
To enter, click on "Je veux participer!" and log into FB to make a comment. You can also enter the contest without Facebook by clicking on "Comment participer si je n'ai pas de compte Facebook?" which will open up a larger window where you enter your name and email address.
I like that after you enter, they tell you your odds of winning! A single entry gives you a 0.046% chance of winning!
It's just the scrolling abilities not at full power.. Like many things on the East coast of Canada, first in French, then in English..
Silly me. Trix are for kids.
Although it was a bit odd getting it after all this time, in a way it IS topical with the next SMD now our focus..
And reminded me that some of us were discussing how good it would be to go back to Montreal / Quebec City sometime for a whole weekend or long weekend...
I'm going to Montreal in September for the marathon there...
I'd prob be there in 2 wks time
Poutine do? Call me, I'll be there
Yum! & to make sure we get a balanced meal - we need to get some Schwartz Mtl smkd meat!
u know celine dion has bought it right????? our hearts will go on............
You mean "Le Charcuterie de Viandes Fumee Preparee par Le Direction de la Familee Schwartz" right? That's close to the French version required under the 2 languages rules as the translation for Schwartz' Deli. There is no official French word for "deli".
Hello All, from a time way in the past!
Yes, it’s been a while since SMD3. Yes, I shot a lot of video that’s not yet made it to Milepoint.com. Yes, I’ve been a naughty Do’er. But, I’m trying to be better.
As part of that, I’m pleased to let you know that I’ve just now uploaded the 1st part of the videos from Day 5 - Denver - for those of us who went to Buckley Air Force Base for the guided tour of an F-16. It’s covers us getting on the amazing van that was provided for us, hitting the road, and up to where we turned onto Base property.
The other vids of our arrival at the Base, and the guided tour we got is presently under review by the Base PR people. I agreed to let them vet the footage first before I posted it. I can’t imagine what they would object to, but I’d hate to post it without their approval, and then have the kind of special access we received be shut off to anyone else.
As soon as I get their approvals, I’ll post it up and let you know it’s here.
Meanwhile, for those who missed it, here’s the first taste of our amazing morning:
PS - Yes, I’ll be cross-posting this in several threads. Oops!
