About to jump on a US flight

Will there be a difference as to million miler calculations whether it is posted to OP or MP? Generally all EQM activity on OP counts for million miler, while only UA BIS counts for million miler. If the charter is operated by CO will it be considered UA metal for million miler calculation in MP?

Or maybe it is just safer to credit to OP to be sure?

Don't see Aeroplan or AC in your logo montage.

No exception for those who are ORD/YUL/DEN based? I prefer to sleep in my own bed next to...but of course will give that up for a year and a half of Hyatt Diamond.

I don't see either logo. Remember Aeroplan is a separate company from Air Canada, and I still don't see either logo once or repeated as the others are.

meant it as a joke.....I can confirm there's no AC logo at all. I think Bombardier takes care of the Canadian component

Do you think that after the Mega Do is over, I could request missing credit with US and give them the CO route and flight numbers for credit with US?

Registration is going to wait until tomorrow. We are approved, have approval from DOT. Charter contract signed, all that good stuff. We have a couple of things we need to put up to make sure we're in compliance with various things, and then we'll launch. Assuming sometime tomorrow, as I kill all of Tommy's thunder.

for the EU part, we know about the Andaz Wall Street (and Kempinski Munich was mentioned in the thread). Will there be a block / group rate via SMD3 or should we proceed to book/reserve rooms ourselves ?

I know tHe team is working on our kempinski rooms. Not sure if andaz will have blocks.

Great itinerary! The Hyatt Diamond status is the kicker! Nice job to the team! Unfortunate, I have to go to school so I don't waste my $40K tuition... Being a poor college student doesn't help either..

NFI. Sorry I don't have a better answer than that. But, since I would prefer to pour burning hot acid in my eyes than fly US, I may not have the best perspective.

Will there be any feeder flight options into JFK? ie IAD-JFK on UA connecting to LH which is a normal routing.
Would make it easier and less risky then checking in for flights with bags separately.

There are no plans to set up feeder flights to get people to JFK.

Is there a way to make a deposit and pay the rest later? I have a college budget so finding $750 overnight isn't an easy task I don't want to lose this opportunity either

To be clear:

1. When registration reopens later today, those who have already given deposits, and confirmed with Pizzaman our COS and intention to hang in for this itinerary, may now book hotels on the site even if we defer paying the balance for a few more days (credit card cycles and all of that)
2. Those who make their way to/back from MUC on their own (i.e. using an award ticket on the same flights) can participate in these activities and book a room at the Andaz NYC and Kempinski MUC on the website at SMD rates
3. Rooms at the Grand Hyatt in Denver must be booked by Monday (for the SMD rate)
4. Assume any double elite bonus miles are calculated on the 2360 base miles and not the 4720 EQMs being given as the base earnings mileage in CO/UA programs?

So for the US flights the double(4720), triple(7080), and quadruple(9440) EQM totals, what specifically then are the elite bonuses in addition to these earnings when crediting to Mileage Plus?

Do the LH Z flights earn 150 percent EQMs when crediting to Mileage Plus and what would the total be?

To earn Hyatt Diamond status via the US section of the Star Mega DO, does one only have to make 1 stay at an official Hyatt hotel? If one only does the European option, does one earn Hyatt Diamond by staying at the ANDAZ NYC?

Like TRAVELSIG, I may be interested in the european only section of the trip i.e. no flight but any European activities in MUC - is there an option / possibility to do this?
