Does it seem like Roethlisberger is spending a LOT of time reading his arm for the plays? Unless they have an entirely new playbook, at this point in the season and being a professional, I would've thought he'd have more down by now.

They may have designed Packer specific plays based on viewing film etc...
    Usually augmentation of existing plays.

They're definitely doing different things in the second half. More of their bread and butter, running plays, screen passes, short passes. Different ball game.

Well, he WAS kind of distracted for part of his season.

Maybe they are the lyrics to the Black Eyed Peas songs? Or the National Anthem?

Not at my house. I cooked a fairly diet-friendly Mexican feast!

I was rooting for the Steelers, If my home city team can't win I can at least cheer for a team in my state.

It was. I made spiced taco mix with half lean ground beef, half ground turkey (the turkey part went unnoticed by anyone but me!). I made my fat-free refried bean dip. Fresh guacamole. Two kinds of fresh salsa. Fresh flour tortillas (which I skipped in favor of baked corn tostada shells). And Crystal Light lemonade for me.

maybe I haven't watched american football for a while, but I thought it was rather bland... both the game and the entertainment show that went with it.

To get this thread back on topic, I predict that Green Bay will win by six points.

It is a very American game- long periods of meetings and discussions, interrupted by short bursts of random violence. That's why we love it!

Hey I know the concept, I learned it by participating in that random violence... I was a nose guard on defense and left guard on offense in high school, before I spoke much English... all the coach insisted I do is block the guy in front of me, lol
But I remember watching football games that were far more lively, somehow more exciting in the past. This time I was a bit disappointed, that's all. Maybe its just me.

Most years the Superbowl is a bit dull, but the playoffs are very good. In the playoffs, the players are fighting to get into the Superbowl. In the Superbowl, they're all being careful not to make mistakes, so they tighten up a bit.
