That guy isn't even one of the ones I knew about.

Biggest risk UA is facing right now is a media pile-on. Stranded folks in Alaska because the toilets don't work is human interest. Chaos in LAX always runs the risk of somebody with some juice and a favor to call giving it up out of pique (to say nothing of the starving nuns aspect). Some David going into small claims in the heartland because Goliath lied to him has a nice spin.

They better do something in a hurry.

I'm starting to think something is screwed up with the display of R space on united.com. EF shows R6 on a flight but united.com shows R0. It's actually a perfect flight for what I need...

Wouldn't it be moar miles (and segments) on the reroute than on the original route?? Remember COCO operates ANC-SEA :-:

I'm actually concerned about UA Irrops handling after reading the LAX downgauge, the SFO downgauge, and the ANC stranding. Not that I think the number of incidents is the issue, but the similarities in how they *weren't* handled, compared to how I feel like PMUA probably would've handled similar incidents, in terms of re-routing people; just getting people moving in the right direction. It doesn't sound like reroutes were available even upon demand in any of these cases.

That's right. Bad Irrops handling can be a perfect storm: frightening perceptions among the infrequent travel consumer, and informed outrage among the core customer base.

Can anyone point me to a site that details the history of airfares between 2 cities?

FareCompare's historical pricing graphs went missing around the time of the last major site overhaul.

I know Bing has some type of price predictor tool but it never seems to chart the city pairs I need. :(

This time I'm trying to get a handle on fall fares for NYC-LEX?

It still remains to be seen whether this is a trend or a statistical anomaly. Hopefully just a blip.

It's evidently the valve. Guess I have to get about having this taken of.

I don't need expertflyer to tell me that planes are running around 80% today. If the flights aren't sold out, I am not interested.

hmm aus-iad is F0Y1, but I have had zero luck on UA.

It is lost on them, and while I have my gripes with the way some things are managed, the profit records of CO versus UA over the past 15 years are a lot of the reason that it's not the legacy UA management running the show now.

This client's training room is still a sauna.

Why won't they switch on the AC?

My guess is that it's a systems/training issue that will be ironed out. Airplanes break all the time; always have. When agents can get the customers fixed as they normally do, it makes for a 5-post thread on FT that leaves the first page in a couple hours, is never thought of again, and never goes beyond that geeky environment.

My guess is training as well; I've now seen first-hand that a good agent with SHARES can do a reroute in seconds. Seems like there are plenty of not-good-with-SHARES agents around (both PMUA and PMCO).
