Haha, what a bargain! Gas is $4.50/gallon in the Mission in SF. It's cheaper in the outlying areas, but it's still $4.25 and up.

Question for The Box... If you were going to an interview in a normal office environment, would you still wear a suit if the HR contact recommended business casual in their confirmation email? Normally, I wouldn't consider anything but a suit, but the email threw me off a bit.

Yu pretty much can't go wrong in a suit. If it were my choice, I'd ignore HR. YMMV.

Depends on the company amd location. East coast never goes without a tie, whereas socal almost never has one.
