Yes -- the charge that tipped them ;)ff to the fraud? At an online shop with a name like the 'Martial Arts mall' ... They seem to kn:eek:w me. The last time this happened the triggering charge was at Wal-Mart.

I sometimes wish I worked in that environment, but I wouldn't get in the front door of my building if I wore that outfit...and I am an employee! Publishing is still very buttoned-down and the blue-bloods still populate the upper reaches of almost every company in my industry...that's why I like lingering in the basement of said industry. It IS funny when people from L.A. and Boston come down and work a campus with me in teh heat of September....that sport coat gets tossed by 8:30 a.m. every time! :p My job keeps me walking (and running) outside for 6 months of the year, sometimes in the dead heat of a Texas Summer, so just last year I started wearing short sleeves. I resisted it for a long time but I finally gave in after many years with funky, sweaty dress shirts and the high cost of replacing them...point being is that I always try and dress a bit more than my customers, but "time and place" situations now pretty much dictate what I wear.

For an interview, I would always wear a coat and tie no matter what they told me...err on the side of formality (that's just me), but let the situation be your guide. That being said, I once had an interview in teh lobby of the IAH Marriott on a layover between LAS-IAH-DXB a few years back in jeans and an oxford shirt and it was perfect...haha!

Suits or "sharp female business attire" are pretty standard for conducting auditions. And my master's degree institution was East Coast and very old-school. So I was definitely pretty shocked when a guy the year after me showed up in jeans and a t-shirt with a picture of crazy Beethoven on it. You guessed it, SoCal. Occidental.

I was even more shocked when our (very well-behaved and old-school New England and British) professors accepted him. :p

Fyi, Hyatt had a 3rd night free plus breakfast promo going.

Loyalty Traveler blogged about it recently & iirc depending on the property he found a savings of $100 over AAA rates.

Do the math as your properties may not yield such savings.

fwiw, while it's no Diamond, being a Plat is better than dirt. The question is whether you anticipate future Hyatt stays?

Also, doesn't the CO PC credit card also give Hyatt Plat?

Use G. Earth (with the right setting) and count the number of private airfields that even show up on there within 10 or so miles of that road's alignment, from abeam Fentress (sp?) down to Seguin.

If I were going to give opinion to someone looking to place some hundreds of $K in the Austin area, it would not be Dripping Springs or Lake Travis; it would be along that corridor, and it wouldn't be in McMansion, it would be land. For reasons of access, water, and land quality, that's a major exurban expansion path, of both the cities' extended SMSAs (SAT-burg and AUS-ville).

Darn. Flight times on CX 773s for HKG-TPE and TPE-HKG just don't match up well with our itinerary. BR's Hello Kitty 330s do, though.
