Some guy just came thisclose to dropping his bag on my head.

Yes, but undoubtedly due only to GS and 1K defecting in swarms. Enjoy your hollow victories once the BK filing happens next quarter.

That happened to a coworker when she was about to leave for China. Airline made her go to the hospital so she lost the first couple of days of her vacation.

Who cares about the GS and 1K defecting in swarms. It's the MMs defecting in swarms that will cause the airline to go bankrupt.

I got hit in the head once by a tube of architectural drawings. Short little guy put them up lengthwise, and then turned his bag sideways, somehow knocking them out in the process. When they hit my head, the metal end popped out of the tube and the drawings extended out a few inches. He made sure they were all safe, and then gave a hollow "sorry" to me and the guy in front, who also got whacked.

If I knew then what I know now, me and that guy would have filed a class action suit in small claims court.

I get hit by something or someone every single time I get on an airplane. Could be because I don't fit in enclosed spaces...

Good thing you didn't get any blood on his drawings. :-:

:D. And the fact that people are totally oblivious when it comes to walking down an aisle. Crash bang.

I still fail to understand how people mistakenly run into me. There are few times when I am not the largest object in a room.

All I got was a solicitous FA, who asked if I was all right. Of course I was all right; it was a cardboard tube. And no way they were run some scam to get me out to give away my upgrade that easy.

Just retrieved car from dealer after "flat tire" incident. I really can't afford to have this type of flat tire.
  4. xFF Gold Member

Would that incident not be covered by your comprehensive?

I guess I need to find out.

Well, figured it all out. Given my travel plans this year with what's already booked, I'll go from 54 to 72 TCC countries visited. In order to join as a provisional member, I'll need to have 75. I want to join by the end of this year, so I need three more countries that I can get to (and back) without any vacation time.

    Here's my first 54.

    Here's the next 18:

    55. Hong Kong
    56. Macau
    57. Dubai
    58. Abu Dhabi
    59. Sharjah
    60. Ajman
    61. Umm al Quwain
    62. Ras al-Khaimah
    63. Fujairah
    64. Oman?
    65. Costa Rica
    66. El Salvador
    67. Faroe Islands
    68. Iceland
    69. Belgium
    70. Virgin Islands, British
    71. Montserrat
    72. Leeward Islands, Netherlands
    73. St. Barts

Suggestions for the final 3 (assuming I don't get to Oman)?

Can you get credit for both sides of St Martin/St Maarten?

    Yep, and I did.

If only wishing made it so. And they owe me PQM and RDM for a BOS-DEN right before the PSS migration.

The following belong to the same country (UAE). They are the seven Emirates.
Not sure how you count them as separate:
    57. Dubai
    58. Abu Dhabi
    59. Sharjah
    60. Ajman
    61. Umm al Quwain
    62. Ras al-Khaimah
    63. Fujairah

    Other suggestions:
    Malaysia and Nepal?

What are the benefits (if any) of TCC?
    Bragging rights only?

I guess that might explain the seven emirates as seven countries.

Oddly enough, I've been to both. And I know where the local KFC gets their chickens.

They plan country-bagging trips through weird parts of the world open only to their members. It's all about dots and lines. Also: it's nice to have a local group of travel addicts, and some of them work in the industry.
