So two certs just dropped into my lap courtesy of the old CO RewardOne before it gets merged into UA... BizFirst from US48 to anywhere, and one open jaw allowed. Can only be flown on UA/Mike/Express/Connection.

Soooooooooo..... I'm looking to do MAF-IAH-AKL//MEL-LAX-(IAH/DEN)-MAF, or the reverse of that, but obviously can't do until the IAH-AKL route opens. Having said that, does anyone have any information on when this route pair might get loaded into the system for booking?

Dear BoxPoint, I have to confess that I just checked in for tomorrow's WoS flight.

I don't feel to badly though since UA doesn't even fly into MLB.

Was just GC mapping my flights from this week and next. Looks like someone just scribbled all over the country.

    WWTBD?

I already have an LX C flight from DXB-ZRH.

I currently have booked an LX C flight from ZRH-BOS, a forced overnight, and then a UA flight in F home.

I could change my flight from ZRH home one day later in C on UA with no forced overnight, short layover in EWR, permitting an extra day in ZRH and no  BOS hotel prices (I could use about 20% more money and spend it on  ZRH hotel prices instead).

Downside is I'd miss LX C overwater and dinner with a friend in BOS (which I could do at another time). Also prefer BOS to EWR, but that's not the main concern.

ETA: I could also stick with the original plan for now and see if something else interesting opens up.

Because of my isolation and essentially puritanical piety, I had never heard of Kate Upton. I did watch that video, but only as a type of sociological field study. Anyway, I searched her, and found YouTube had pulled the video. The reporter, Mark Hachman, writing on http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2403906,00.asp , judging from his language, did not have the same sense of scientific inquiry:

The video (embedded below) featured the curvy Upton demonstrating the "Cat Daddy," a dance that apparently involves the dancer writhing provocatively in some sort of cat-like pose.

No need at all to go on. We have heard enough from you.

    Except for this nonsense:
Here she is implying that she was not "a saucy young lass."
Does anyone around here believe that?

I don't agree as a PDB - cognac would be at the top of my list, as food's well more than an hour away at that time. Port always needs an accompanying food.

So there's a couple things about the various complaints I've never fully understood.

    1. Are the elites complaining about ToD upgrades upset that non-elites are being offered cash upgrades at all? Or just to the price they're being offered at? (Two very different things, and I'd believed it was the latter, but some posts lead me to think it's the former.)

    2. Is it just my perception, or is it actually true, that some people preferred the UA that lost billions of dollars?

Good Morning from EWR, SDC from JFK->EWR successful on request #2 which isn't too bad :D.

I've run into that a few times with sUA agents and it usually takes someone competent in the rates desk to understand what it is you're doing is perfectly legal not some ignorant supervisor. (It's not fair to generalize all supervisors as such but when it comes to reward tickets sUA supervisors and some sCO agents don't really know what is allowed and what is not which is why rates is always called). I'm curious what were you trying to book?

Or cut it 50/50 with ginger ale. Black is OK straight but not red. Red is decent mixed but I actually generally don't like black that way. Green and gold are both pretty good straight and hit the sweet spot on the price/value ratio. And, like others, I think blue is highly overrated.

I also don't really drink Scotch.
