Wasn't thinking and made a left onto 5th Ave. got a ticket. $120=loss

Free street parking in front of Andaz= win

2br suite at the Andaz 5th ave for free = win

According to my math I've come out on top.

$20, so I've heard. Half for Silver/Gold, free for Diamonds. Don't have the details in front of me, but that's what I can remember.

I don't think I've ever seen the cops ticket drivers in NYC. People routinely violate the bus lanes, heck the cops consider them a parking lane. Cars routinely block the box and enter intersections after the red.

Of course I ignore the ped walk/don't walk entirely. It would take forever otherwise.

I didn't know the Andaz has 2 BR suites. We were in a 1 BR suite last week on floor 11 with a pretty nice terrace including a cozy sofa pod thingy on the terrace.

Are you saying that as a non-registered guest, I can use Hilton facilities for free as a Diamond? That I didn't know.

A pedestrian got struck and killed on 42&5th a few days ago so they're out there.

I'm on 10 but with no terrace.

That's because you didn't connect through AMS.

AMS was never a very good UA/*A connecting point

Back when UA had an RCC at FRA, they had some nice shower suites there. Most other cities required going to an airport hotel. The LH Arrivals lounge in FRA is nice, but closes fairly early (often before the arrival of 932 if it is delayed like it was the last time I flew).

I know, but it may be my new favorite airport.

I have to say that it was pretty well done. The girls had a great time and the salon workers did a nice job with their hair and makeup.

I'm glad we don't have to do that again, though. :-:

    No, my error.

    I saw relevant discussions here:
    http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hilton-hhonors/1204136-ohare-facilities-hilton.html

But then I thought, "Why trust these bozos?" I just called. $19 day pass for general members, $10 for Silver/Gold/Diamond, according to the guy at the fitness center desk. No room reservation required.

    Oh Phudnik
If you needed a martini for a party with 10 9 year old girls, just wail until they are 13. You will need a half gallon of vodka to get through that :p

Only new to those not fortunate enough to have reveled in the glory of AYCJ. I used that line to get to a party in Houston a couple years ago.

I befriended the crew and would have had them all for free had I not mentioned it. Brooklyn Summer is nice, it turns out.

Also, they undecharged me for the two I did pay for, so it didn't completely suck.

Had a very nice play day. Early flight to BWI, followed by a crab cake lunch with Mrs Radonc and my eldest. Got to watch a great lacrosse game and we won! Had a good Thai dinner at a Yelp recommended restaurant in near the airport and going to go see a movie tonight. Then on an AM flug back to CLE.
First time in a Hyatt Place. The staff are nice, the hotel is standard Fairfield or Hampton. Huge TV, however.

And, thus, the birther movement against Sarah Palin was set up years before 2016.

The W in old Montreal; the Sheraton would be closer to some of the Canadian ballet (as my workmates used to call it when we'd go up there on commercial shoots) places you might be patronizing. Wasn't overly impressed by the Hyatt there, even forgetting some of the issues with SMD3 there.

I am pleased with my margarita recipe so I shall share. It is possible that I have previously shared this, but since I basically threw stuff in a blender and went with it, it bears repeating. Sorta.

    6 oz tequila
    3 oz triple sec
    2 oz lime juice
1 oz agave nectar or simple syrup
    1/2 can Guya passionfruit concentrate.
Ice - recommend start with two cups and add to taste and frozen-ness. Too little ice and it might be too sweet.

Put everything in blender (ice last), blend, drink.

No premium liquors needed as the passionfruit will mask them.

While this would be great, it ain't gonna happen: 1) NJ Transit makes too much of needed revenue from people going to this station; and 2) it's the kind of project Gov. Christie wouldn't approve, given how he reacted to the prospect of a 3rd tunnel under the Hudson River.

Way back in time, I used to love the small spray cans of Evian water that were in the CO amenity kits. A nice spritz in the face during or after an overnight or long flight was great!

I've found the eye mask stinks for a long while after taking it out of its plastic wrap. Have to open it up ASAP so that it'll be less of a problem by the time I want to use it. I've also taken to keeping my LH one and using that instead.

Been meaning to ask, is there any sort of lounge at CLT? Trying to sort out how to handle hotel stay the last days of this coming weekend's Insanity Run. I'll have about 4 hours between arrival back from 2nd run and flights back to LGA, but, if there are no delays, I arrive back in CLT just after 3PM. Even with late checkout at Hyatt, won't really had time for a shower there, or I can just chance it. A shower will likely be a good idea ay that point, even if I'm a little late on the late checkout. Could otherwise save a night's expense.

What to do? (Definitely a 1st world problem.)

I don't think that you can do better for comidas Cubanos near the Dip than at Padrino's on Hallandale Beach Boulevard just over the bridge.

They do plan on having light rail some day via Elizabeth. It's called the Newark Elizabeth Light Rail Line.
