I always get a rock (similar to “Give me a ping, Vasili. One ping only, please.”) in my bourbon.

I've dated a few FAs, and I think I'm going out with one next week if our schedules click... Some can be fun and some can be a bit of . I always bring up one rule which is (no discussing anything related to the airline on the date but anytime we're at an airport it's fair game).

Indeed, sir, looking forward to it.

Sounds fair enough as a rule. In my case, ships were enclosed spaces for longer times, which was both good and bad. Good because there's more space to avoid each other when things get awkward (and they did) and bad because when they were working, too much space to separate people. Also add things like officers (me) couldn't date crew (him) into the mix for extra shenanigans.

You were supposed to start the Grill at 12 midnight last night, and keep watch on the coals till the ribs were ready to eat! You didn’t learn nothin’ in Tejas.

The hunt for red october is one of my favourite movies... another of my favourites...

"Anatoli, you're afraid of our fleet. Well, you should be. Personally, I'd give us one chance in three. More tea anyone?"

Just called Lucky out again on his blog...tired of the lies when a blogger accepts money or favors from a travel entity (AA, in this case) and doesn't disclose it.

Actually was talking to the girls just the other night about charcoal for the grill... how it used to be a big deal to fire up the BBQ. Next time I am in the states, I am heading to Menard's and getting a cheap charcoal grill! Once day, a proper smoker!

I thought the latest rules required bloggers to disclose compensation for blogging...

All I know of is the Credit Card disclosures...you know a few of them get something extra along the way...it was pretty obvious tonight with him.

Who writes and enforces those rules, anyway?

It’s really not a big deal. You get one of those round canisters with a grate not quite at the bottom; shove some newspaper under the grate, and pour the charcoal on top; place on coal grate of grill, then light the newspaper. In 20 minutes or so, depending on the wind, coals are ready to go and you just pour them out, and get going.

I'm grasping at straws but I'm sure the FTC oversees this?
  6. desamo Gold Member

    Indeed. Longer guidelines.

"Endorsements must reflect the honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experience of the endorser."

    Honest. Hmm.

I'm considering switching to the Crowne Plaza as it was on point breaks earlier and I have a res I can cancel if I decide not to stay there.

If there’s a connection between the endorser and the marketer of the product that would affect how people evaluate the endorsement, it should be disclosed.

    Operative word... should

At the risk of being tasteless with my metaphors, I crashed and burned. The NTSB got called out.

    I highly doubt that.

I don't believe that it is an advertisement. It is a blog or a post on a public form (in this case, twitter).

Maybe I'm just grumpy because I'm tired, but this latest UA-theEnemy meme has caused me to map a well known Internet Brand to local host, since I can't trust myself otherwise, and a couple of days will break the habit. The last straw for me was reading "Investors are the enemy of elite flyers." Irony can only carry so far before it leaves all amusement behind.

I don't remember the name of the place but we did have an excellent seafood dinner over in that area last time when we were staying up at the PH and recall the price to have been very reasonable.

Last night was far from very reasonable. The AUD truly fly out of your pocket at the Flying Fish.
