No however you can use an E-Cert then an ETC at the payment page... It might not ticket though right away so you have to call it in. (i.e $250 E-Cert and a $400 VDB ETC). I have done this several times but it's been problematic.

I've been to both. Neither qualifies as a place I'd want to spend extended amounts of time.

Depends on who you ask, but generally, no, the folks at WHQ want the agents to let the computers do all the work. Of course, this cuts both ways as most "good" stopover + open-jaw awards don't actually auto-price properly, but such is life.

Couple flights I considered did include the taxes at the super cheap rate. Main problem was that the $67 wasn't available at decent return times for me to make a useful quick holiday out of it.

Welp, looks like I'll be enjoying 20C on Friday. All of the sudden the flight shows 13/16 F booked.

I think I'm batting ~10% on 1K upgrades this year.

That stinks! Seems like a lot of folks are having troubles since March 3. I'm at 100% on each eligible flug, but it is a great deal of off days, off hours and high inventory and when taking on "tougher routes" liberal use of upgrade instruments and SDC.

On the other hand, my mom who is silver has not been upgraded once since March 3, and I try hard to fly her at off times.

Just strange out there.

My percentage has been ~50 I'd say (I stopped tracking it, actually). Whenever I step foot on a 735 I don't have any real expectation of an upgrade, and plenty of my flights have been on those. I would say my percentage has been higher since 3/3 certainly, though.

Most of my domestic trips are off peak. And I try to avoid the ones where no upgrades are forthcoming, i.e EWR-LAX
