Rllpuck I love that people in the US Airways TOBB can write things like DBand BS but if you try that shtick in the UA TOBB forum you'll get railroaded every time. There's no love there for anyone except the haters.

Morning all.
In downtown PHL at the Marriott, at another meeting. Spent all day yesterday in meetings, evening at a dinner. Fell into bed at 10:30 PM. Catching up quickly. Dubai sounds "interesting" and hot. I will have to try and read it on TOBB.
Unfortunately no internet in the meeting so I have to use my phone which is not easy to do sitting around a table.

Apropos to hotel discussions, here at the largest Marriott in PHL, the lounge is closed on the weekends. Now this is not surprising since I come here often and it has been this way for years. However, plats get a "gift" since the lounge is closed. This consists of abag of chips, a bottle of beer or some other soft drink, or 500 points. They will not give you any replacement for the lost breakfast since the lounge is closed, or anything else. In essence, the Marriott management feels that giving their best customers about $5 in food or points ameliorates closing the lounge. (I suspect that they feel they sell too few lounge level rooms to justify keeping it open for the freeloaders like me).
I could understand thinking like this for a Marriott in a business park near Westchester, but in a major tourist city on the East Coast? I wonder what our foriegn visitors think when they book a lounge level room and get no lounge.

I just can't see this happening at the JW in HKG, which by the way has a fabulous lounge open about 16 hours a day 7 days a week.

Anyway, now that I have had my morning moo , time to get dressed and go to the first meeting which starts at 7. Have a fun day all.

Finally. When AS started Pre-Check, my +1 started getting cleared for pre-check even in cities where AS didn't offer it due to having Global Entry. Since SEA is set up for Pre-Check, if UA is transmitting the data, the maybe it will start working in SEA, at least for GE members who have that in their profile (sadly I don't have GE, not for lack of an attempt at it.)

Any idea how long NEXUS/GE processing takes these days, esteemed Box?
