The last schedule change I got was for an FL flug, SAT-ATL that I booked a 4:14PM departure on. Schedule change was to 6:05AM.

It's still all shiny and new.

Hi Box. Does anyone have an opinion on getting to LCY from the West End? Would the Tube to the Docklands Light Rail be quicker than a taxi? I'll be heading out around 530pm. When I've used LCY in the past I've always left from my office which is about a 10 minute taxi ride. Not sure if a taxi makes sense from the other side of the city.

In my one experience going from central London to LCY at 5:30pm by cab, I'd recommend taking the train. Maybe it was the light rain but the traffic was horrible.

Orbitz told me that there was a massive schedule change on my flight to MAD. Turns out my MSY-PHL flight leaves 20 min earlier. No biggie.

My bigger problem is that we're not due in until midnight the night prior. Only 5.5 hours sleep was going to be annoying enough. Dropping that down another hour really sucks.

Thanks. I'm leaning toward the rail option but have actually never been on the DLR. Sometimes light rail can be as slow as the traffic.

No diversions this year (yet)... and I don't think I departed a flight prior to arrival either. It's just a SNAFU in the system for now.

To summarize my posts in the other thread:

No one should want to fly an Afghan airline. If I had to fly DXB KBL, I would take one of the UN charter flights.

$550 for the DXB Kabul city pair is actually an average to good fare on that route.

All my PMCO aircraft this past weekend had the new safety cards, which are similar to the PMUA safety cards, with the typewriter-like font that states the equipment type.

Dare I say, wouldn't it be great if, with this new Box thread, we could operate the Box without any of the recent annoyances that were at issue in the old thread?

Methinks that you priorities might be a tad bit out of whack. :-:

How much luggage will you have? The Tube is very difficult to carry luggage on during peak rush hour, depending on the line and direction you take.

The DLR isn't really light rail as we understand it here in the US. It's an automated surface/elevated line with its own grade.

The one time I went to LCY I was staying in Chelsea and it took me about 45 mins with the tube/DLR (had to change twice). I would guess it would take 35 minutes or so from the West End, depending on how many times you have to change lines.
