So, colpuck sidles into the TOBB MM thread, a hotbed of seething anger and resentment, as can be seen just from the length of the average post/rant. Currently vested, AFAIK, with neither spouse nor 7-figure UA/CO mileage balance, he announces that not only is he happy with the benefits for the latter, but the former will be pleased with them as well.

The responses will require me, the self-appointed Ambassador of Reason from the IE group, to once again try to gently nudge them back on point. But not just now; it's Friday afternoon.

    Thank you, colpuck.

You were blessed with much clearer skies in Walvis Bay and Swakopmund than we were. We managed to hit Swakopmund on the one day in like 10 years it actually rained a measurable amount.

There's usually a few hours per day where teh sea fog retreats offshore. Thankfully, not long enough for temps to get out of teh 70s. :D

My birthday is entirely too far away. I need to come up with some intermediary event worthy of visiting our local installment of Perry's.

I think I will call this event, "Tuesday."

Wait a minute. Isn't this the God-forsaken, can't-get-there-from-here desert that you proffered a couple years back as an equatorial-positioned alternative to my interest in Ecuador?

Yeah, when we don't have to recall from biology texts that typically left is lower, it's way too tight.

I'll have to stay there when I have discretionary income... Thinking of celebrating 2013 New Years in Jo'burg or somewhere on the African continent.

Was this recently? I think picking up tix at 30th only is a very recent thing. I went down tom30th St. For my MR last week. Didn't have a problem picking up ticket there, but was too nervouse to try picking up at Metropark, given IDGFlygirls experience.

I am glad we could get connected via the phone so the guy pictured above did not have to make a visit to the Hyatt

In a couple minutes I have to get ready to go eat. Oil closed about the price of a pack of bubble gum under 110, and the EUR is closing at 34 and a half. Gas is over six in LA, but not here. And beef is still reasonable, as is beer. So who cares.

I wonder how long JL's service on SAN-NRT will last. That would make for a pretty cool line.

We didn't get much retreat. But, that was fine. No complaints – we suffered enough of the Death Star's rays in Zambia.
