An interesting series of actions. Copy and paste the following 4 lines of plain text into the RT Editor without any blank lines before or after. Item 1 Item 2 Item 3 Item 4 Then Ctrl-A to select all. Then click the Numbered List button several times. It should (?) toggle the option on and off, right? Or if not, it should at least do something sensible in some other way. But it doesn't!

A partially-bolded URL fails to translate correctly. Is this a concern? http://milepoint.com/forums/threads/strange-behaviors-with-numbered-lists-in-editor.3242/ The BBCode behind the scenes: Code: http://milepoint.com/forums/threads/strange-[B]behaviors[/B]-with-numbered-lists-in-editor.3242/
Test formatting my master list of photo threads --------------------------------------------------------------- Looks like it's working. I think the problem was that I was trying to mainly use the bulleted list option, which is buggy. I wiped the file clean of all the {list} entries, started fresh only using indent, and it looks better. Thanks! Well, yes, that works, of course. Though if I'd done it in my day-to-day postings, I probably would've wanted something like this... Strange behaviors with Numbered Lists in editor I'd really like to see URL rewriting enabled to automatically convert MP URLs into their thread titles. Same for links to wiki pages. barelyelite will think that he can predict the future:
http://milepoint.com/forums/threads/strange-behaviors-with-numbered-lists-in-editor.3242/ To achieve this use BB code to insert the url, [url=http://milepoint.com/forums/threads/strange-behaviours-with-numbered-lists-in-editor.3242/] then type in whatever you want to appear including formatting, then close with [/url]. If you are wondering how I avoided the BB code above from parsing, it is through the [plain] code.
Code: test [URL='http://milepoint.com/forums/posts/75404/']link test[/URL] I wish to use [code] tags to create a scroll list, but also embed links. I haven't yet found a way to do both at once. Ideas?
I don't think that it can be done with any of the existing tags. The code behind the tags could be modified to allow it, or some new tags could be created. Do you really want [ code ] tags to do this? Or do you actually just want a scrolling box? A scrolling box with WYSIWYG format options would be nice. Currently, I don't think that there is a limit to the length of a quote. If there should be a limit at which point scroll bars should be added, that should be brought up in the Beta Feedback forum. I think that the quote box should not be so narrow.
I do agree with this. I like seeing quotes as it helps give context, but sometimes a quote is just too long and I skip over the whole thing!
Upgraded to FF 4.0 beta 11, which seems to have fixed some of my javascript problems. I'll test the numbered and ordered lists and some other bbcode problems. numbered list, then indents this works partially- the indents keep the same font/format for numbers item 1 item 2 item 3 sub 1 sub 2 inner 1 inner 2 item 4 sub 3 ordered list, then indents this works well, the indents change their bullets item 1 item 2 item 3 sub 1 sub 2 inner 1 inner 2 item 4 sub 3 numbered list, then click list again on sub sections Nope, this doesn't work because clicking it a second time undos the list, and a third time treats new list as if it is all one item. The "numbered list" button is an on/toggle, and when used repeatedly the contents get grouped into one list item. item 1 item 2 item 3 sub 1 sub 2 inner 1 inner 2 item 4 sub 3
