That's good. When you said before you were in AUS, I immediately thought Australia...that would have been some commute to JFK - but great for the mileage:)

    Thank you, TwinBob!

Yes, I saw the thread our sweet twin G_G started for me and you made me google "factotum." Is factotum also a fancy word for "minion"? ;)

    Thank you, Chiffy!

    Many thanks, SQ LPP!

In Taiwan, it's believed sneezing is a sign that someone's thinking of you. I've been sneezing all day long today. It suggests that the sweet thoughts from all my twins and loungemates is coming my way on my special day. :)

So JY1024 is available and gets to meet your friends too? :D

    Enjoy Boston!

I bet you will be seeing a lot of them on offer on eBay and Amazon in days to come.

Thanks for the offer! I hope when I get to explore London, England is still under your supervision. ;)

I take it it doesn't work all the time if you had tried chamomile tea. What about some finger massage? These are two puncture points you can work with when Gerald is in the attack mode:

    1. Photo to your left: 合谷穴 (i.e. where the "valleys" meet at the back of your palm):
Use your thumb or fingers to apply pressure to the middle point
    [IMG]

    2. Photo to your right: 列缺穴 (i.e.where the "crack" shows around your wrest):
Use your finger/s to apply pressure to the "dented" spot

If you hit the right puncture points with enough pressure, you will feel a bit sore. You probably have to play with it before you can actually find the "right" spots. I *think* you have to do this for like 5-10 minutes (each hand) in maybe 30-second intervals. Rest a minute or so between intervals.

The "theory" is to massage the opposite hand when you have one-sided migraines (massage right hand/wrest when your migraine is at left temple). It won't hurt if you just message both hands/wrests when Gerald finds you. What more can you lose, right? :)

    Thank you, psollitt!

Hope you can use this Sunday to sleep in and recuperate. :)
    Thanks, Twinsc801!

On my way to the Flower Market this morning, I saw Goldie's double. She's so cheerful with a happy dance that made me smile. Goldie must have both a strong will and psyche to put together a show like that for me across one too many ocean. Please give her my thanks too! :)

I suppose it's bad I wish I was in Australia for the mileage haha. Stuck on plane for 30 minutes because of weather in NYC. :( I'm sitting bulkhead in first so I don't have access to any of my things yet. :(

I am Consulting Manager for the UK within the context of my employment, but there is far more that happens in the UK for which I am not responsible.

    The Goons said it best:
[Neddy Seagoon] Are you responsible for births on this ship, Captain?
[Major Bloodnock] Not all of them, dear boy, not all!

    :D

Thanks, lin821! I will try those the next time Gerald catches up. Nothing to lose at all. :)

As with many English words, you can usually find a definition contrary to it's primary meaning. While true that 'factotum' can mean servant, the prime definition of one with many diverse activities or responsibilities is one that seems to define the Lin821 that you have projected in the two forums I know you from.

    It's a good thing! Happy Birthday! :)

And craiglist- one of the pastimes here on Maui seems to be getting the amazon "deal of the day" with free shipping, and then listing it on CL saying you paid <retail price>, but will 'sacrifice' the item at <twice what amazon had it for last week>.

Be happy! You are sitting in First.

Our friend adl73x didn't know Texas well enough to connect the dots between your Longhorn avatar and AUS. ;)

It's not that I didn't know of Austin, Texas, lin821. It's a question of primary association. Around here, for instance, TPE means Trans Pennine Express, which plies though psollitt's domain :)

Happy Birthday TwinLin! I hope you are enjoying your special day.
Thank you for reminding me of the finger massage. I used to do that years ago and it was quite effective. It has been a long time since Gerald has visited and I forgot about that!

That's too high a praise, TwinBob! But it's also understandable the love we shower each other within our twin family! :p

If I were born into speaking English, or American, I would have been capable of revolutionizing the two fora you have in mind, according to you. :D

And for Americans, TSA can never be Taipei Songshan Airport (TSA). Did you ever wonder why travlr didn't use a more sheep-ish avatar? :D

The Orange Longhorn is so stapled for UT-Austin that your primary AUS association can't beat. ;)

Thank you very much, TwinPat! My special day went quite well.

I am also more than happy to refresh your memory of effective finger massage. I was glad to find a good visual representation of the puncture points as well. Today is a good day! :)

Of course! Innocent or not, the 1st confession is always, "I didn't do it!"

    :D:D

Just remember you are not supposed to "caress" the puncture points. The pressure should be good enough for you to feel the soreness without breaking any bones, OK? :)

There are many more puncture points you can work with. But let's start from two obvious & easy ones this round!

    Testing! Testing!

Quoting myself for this newest bug report so I can see if our Community Lounge thread has "finally" been broken.

ETA: Affirmative! We DID break our Global Community Lounge thread. The Quote Alert Stops Coming. The admin may decide to start a Community Lounge thread-Part Two, like they did with FL* and PWP threads. We'll see. I am going to update my bug report thread.

    Everybody stays tuned!
