Don't know why we have some many typhoons in Asia this September. While the U.S. is dreadful for Indian Summers, typhoons in September are infamous in our Taiwanese saying. The ancient wisdom calls out for special alert on September typhoons (九月颱: jiǔ yuè tái). They can be brutal!

Actually, your under the weather symptom is spreading. So, I feel not too god since yesterday. But perhaps, my symptom was due to hearing from a friend who could grab an award redemption on SQ A380 C class using UA miles, and paid only $2.50 in tax. I wish I could plan far ahead in my life for year 2012.

The same thing happens on the Atlantic side too. Sept. 10 is historically the peak of the season with more storms on that day then any other. Fortunately, this has been a fairly quiet year so far. Lots of storms, but few landfalls. Irene was the only storm that's caused a lot of damage and some deaths. Alas, in the Atlantic we don't have any ancient words of wisdom for the season beyond "It's gonna rain".
