Yes, and "it's our honeymoon, anniversary, etc" always works too! What these travel experts fail to mention is that if you are a MM flyer, &/or have high elite status AND A CANDY BAR, you might get that upgrade!

Late Friday evening at the end of a groundlocked sodden week in and around London. The "drought" is now so laughable that when inconsiderate autodarwinating commuters fling themselves beneath undeserving trains, they don't so much splat as splash.

Next week I go back "up norf": EDI Monday, GLA Tuesday and somewhere lost in north Wales on Wednesday. I've just signed up to the otherwise redundant VS Flying Club because it seemed wasteful taking all those Virgin Trains without parking miles...It might take a few millennia to earn the 10,000 VS miles I need before I can transfer them to Hilton (and perhaps then to somewhere useful) but in an otherwise frustrating work week, Awardwallet is good for a sense of accomplishment

I am in France now, but to your question: I do feel the QC2 answers more functional needs, but there are two and half majors pros to QC15:
(a) noise- QC2 is better.
(b)weight- for me, QC2 feels more balanced (also to my seatmate that had QC2, I let her borrow it for an hour and a half).
half: battery seems to last slighty more in QC2.

Pros for QC2-
Weight (overall),
much easier to pack.
connect.

So, overall- no winners
