Good M/A/E everyone!

How are we all doing today? I'm excited not because next week is finals week, but because next week I get to go home, and spend some time with my family and friends back home..

I'm also excited to try LH F and SQ R and hopefully will take lots of pics!

Sadly however, that's where all the excitement ends... My mom seems adamant since she thinks I can't find my own partner that she's looking for me right now at home. I really hate the notion of my mom finding someone for me as I would really like to find that someone myself without anybody's help essentially.

So here I am 12 hours later into the day subscribing at Match.com and considering Zoosk as well to try and get out of it. In any case it will probably be one of my more annoying holidays home, if not the most annoying. Especially since my mom's tastes and mine is completely different..

Hope everyone has a much more welcoming and eventful summer than I am! Need to go back studying now, and I'll try to come by from time to time here and at home.

Sorry to hear about the persistence of your mother for your partner for life. Hopefully once you are home and settling down, you can talk more openly with your mother. The world has changed so much. I personally do not believe in match making. You are still young. Explore the mystery of the world and let the time brings you your companion for life.

That is exactly what I mean, I'm still young and there's a lot to explore, but my parents seem so adamant on getting grandchildren...

Well, this dragon isn't a big fan of matchmaking either. I consider myself pretty lucky in that my folks have not pressured me to get married anytime soon. While I'm sure my parents would like grandkids, they also want me to be happy and haven't tried to set me up with anyone.

It won't be easy, but maybe this is your chance to start a new tradition in the family and not go the matchmaking route. Good luck!

Hard to believe, but it is very possible that you are looking at the first military aircraft ever built. Much different than the F14. So, this plane, the Burgess-Renault, had a 70 horse power, and a speed of up to 62 miles per hour. The picture is dated to 1912. Yep,exactly 100 years ago. But, I would not want to fly this one... too unstable, and the prop is very likely to be 'killed' with an inbalance landing/takeoff.

I live in a somewhat small town so there is no cameras and they did not offer insurance. I have had this storage unit 7 years and never have had a problem. The thief's were very clever, they cut a bunch of lock at the storage place and replaced it with their own. So the units all look secure to the manager and then they can go in and out of the units without being really question because they have a key! I did have a few expensive framed pieces stolen but I am a pack rat and my unit was filled with free USPS boxes of all sorts of size (ofcourse they did not steal and of theses) and totes upon totes of heavy unsigned books, magazines, and misc outdated technology like printers and screens. On the bright side the thief's helped push me along on my new year resolution of pairing down items. Now they have to deal with the bunch of crap I use to own and I hope my items cause them to have hernia and back surgery in the future!

Well, my parents mean well.. They don't want me to marry too old and too old for everything I suppose.. hehe. But it is really annoying.. On the other hand, I am sort of a renegade just because I really hate the idea of matchmaking, and I really want to marry someone other than Chinese, or most Asian anyways..

And this is not because of anything, but I really don't want to be just like every chinese around the block in Indonesia, and have to marry Chinese as well... Given the choice, I prefer Caucasian, but I know it probably won't work that way..

But here's to hoping, right?

Sometimes you have to scream... so, I got no compensation this year for the following

DL sold my data to a third party that tried selling me overpriced visa services (After I paid more than 10,000 for a ticket- not on my dime, thankfully)
DL delayed responses in 7-10 days, and then apologize for the delay 7-10 days afterwards
DL's wifi (aka Gogo) was slower than a 8400 modem (pre 56.6 one)
DL's broken FC seat (in a set of two)

And, I got no compensation, just template apologies. I actually once sent them a link to their templates online, and got a template apology. Feels like I've been talking to a computer programmered in the soviet union.

So, I screamed enough and someone called me back with 25,000 miles and a promise to follow up on all cases. Let's see. Now, can I do anything with 25,000 miles?
