The official waiver policy is that you have to begin travel this weekend.

I had a day trip to our San Francisco office scheduled for today - a real business trip, mind you - but 7am ORD-SFO was canceled already by yesterday afternoon, and they auto-rebooked me on 2:25pm ORD-SFO. Very nice of AA; they even kept me in F, but...my office visit turned into a mileage run, as I was now scheduled to depart an hour after arriving to SFO. With no other options to get to SFO earlier, I canceled and booked another day trip later this month for $20 less. There are still dates with $200 a/i same-day turnaround.

Then reroute through DFW. :-:

I'm on board, 3F, and it looks like I'll make it with a 45 minute connection. Crossing fingers! Rinse and repeat tomorrow.

Last night DFW-SFO, I had a battlefield upgrade of all battlefield upgrades. I was buckled in in my seat when the gate agent ran onto the plane a few minutes before departure waving a boarding pass calling me to the front. I was first on the list and apparently some of the seats in first were assigned to people moved to another flight, but not updated in the seat map.

So far, 2/2 on upgrades as PLT at the end of Feb.

I finally got my second upgrade in 2 weeks, I was already 0 - 5 and bam 1 for 6 then 2 for 7, everything happened at the airport, no 72 hours notice and plane where 757 and 767, love 767 upgrade, 757 is just big pitch but the reclining option is not there, but 767 is almost same as 777 except for the individual IFE. Now I am down to my last MR and my last 4 upgrade voucher, see if I can go 3 in a row, after next week run, officially EXP til 2014. Now have to learn how to use the EXP status wisely from all of you.

So... lucky for me the weather in Chicago held up. On Friday, they cancelled a few flights in the morning ORD to SFO, but kept mine. You should have seen the standby lists. (If I missed it, I'd be waiting at least a day to get back.)

Today's run was uneventful as well: Chicago was still below freezing but at least the sun was coming out.

My weekend's upgrade ratio as PLT, booking 3 weeks out: 60%
Y Thu DFW-SFO 9:35p (yes, #1 on the list and got pulled last minute)
Y Fri SFO-ORD 8:50a (yes, at the gate)
N Fri ORD-SFO 4:45p (not a chance, #7 on the list, 5 EXP's in front of me)
N Sat SFO-ORD 6:20a (nope, #5)
Y Sat ORD-SFO 6:15p (yes, cleared at 72hrs)
... Mon pm SFO-DFW --- TBD

I try to avoid Mon AM and Fri PM flights if I want an upgrade. SFO routes are tough in general as well. Good luck on Monday. Sadly my flight on Monday has no F cabin.

I just finished my first 2 MRs to DFW/SFO on 2/22 and 2/25. I was just wondering typically how long does bonus EQMs take to post? Also any one doing 2/28 DFW/SFO? I am doing a double that day and would love to meet up with fellow runners.

I'm scheduled for tomorrow but it's highly unlikely I'm going. I'll let you know if that changes.

I rescheduled for the 24th. Sucked up the $150 but there was no fare change. Same awesome cheapos are out there -AUS-DFW-SFO-DFW-AUS for $220. I should have ditched it... Too late now.

If anyone is MRing through ORD, good news.... the weather is glorious today.

After 12 MR, my MR is done, imagine every sat n holiday since jan to today, thank to deq11,deqaa n warm winter, missed all the excitement on the weather front which was very good specially for MR, now officially EXP starting tomorrow but I need to take a break from plane n airport for a while, hats off to those people who does this for a living dont know how you guys do it, flying BIS week in n wk out, my nxt trip is not until may for a conference but that would be a good 2 mos break. Now wonder how am I going to enjoy the perks if I dont fly, dilemma... Happy n safe flyjng to everyone!!!

Flew this past weekend for some DEQ11 mile goodness on a semi-MR. After my first pure, no joke, never leave the airport MR Wednesday (non-DEQ11 related), I have only two vacation trips left for hitting EXP .

I have alot of flights left to flight this month on DEQ11 promo. I got started late. I will be doing the DFW/SFO/DFW runs. I have 2 flights to DFW/SFO/DFW on March 13, another one on March 15, another 2 on March 20th, one on March 23, two on March 26th, and solos ones on 29th and the 31th. Then I will be about 400 miles short of EX Plat. So maybe one last trip like DFW to Houston or OKC to make up the difference.
