Don't you know karate too? If I were to send my kid to karate... I'll make sure I know to defend myself from him too!
doesn't have to be for a fortune, some people just don't like having to file returns, plus some of these places are pretty nice, i like driving on the autobahns too, same thing less restriction, more freedom
I actually enjoy taxes... LMAO! Call me a geek... But I find taxes fascinating... It's my belief that taxes are one of the biggest expense in one's life, so have to arm myself with as much knowledge as I can about it... The autobahn... What can I say about that... All I can say is that I once was the passenger of my German friend when he drove us from Frankfurt to Hameln to meet more friends.. My hubby was curling up at the back, and me in the front, and both our eyes were shut tight! And I remember praying that we'll get to our destination in one piece... LMAO! I was actually frightened to bits! He was literally flooring his accelerator... I think I saw more than 240 km/hr... Scary! And he told us that he is actually one of the safer drivers already... Another German friend actually looks back and gives other drivers the finger while he is driving at 240 km/hr... What can I say?
No... I am back at work... Would have love to have another day off... I really didn't get to enjoy my day off much yesterday...
That's my favorite thing about my job. I don't have to waste time off being sick. I just WFH those days. Glad you're mostly better today.
I understand Woofie, each to their own you're a type A Chinese, that has to explain it, are you fascinated by death also
Thanks, Ten. After the chicken noodle soup and a bagel... and keeping them down... I can safely say I am truly 100%... Yesterday WAS a freak accident... I think I got some mild food poisoning... Glad it's over and done with! I probably did the best thing I could do for myself yesterday, by sleeping it off!
LOL! Am I that easy to read? Don't think I am a Type A though... Maybe an A minus! Closet Type A! Bwahahahahaha... The only 2 things that are certain in this world... Death and taxes! Ahhhh... now I want to watch Meet Joe Black again...
Hello, everyone. Woke with a fever of 103 this morning. Off to the doctor right now but I suspect it is pneumonia again. Will update when I get back home...
I can't like anybody, I get a server error when I try. hmm, also got the server error when I tried to post, but the post went up and the likes registered, I just couldn't see that they were happening and I got the black and red popup error message.
I think we broke MP again by going over 64,500 posts in this thread. It's all our fault. Note that It's happening all over the site, so we broke everything. The posts do appear, but the screen doesn't refresh and we get the server error popup. There is a thread in feedback about it. Also note that for the past hour or two, posts don't get new milepost numbers. We have 14 or 15 posts numbered 64514 on this page.
Liver was good but they were not happy at all with my renal function. I am supposed to have more blood tests next week and they also want me to go back next month.
Looks like I'm getting errors too when I'm trying to lick posts. "A server error occurred. Please try again later."
Oh, Chimpy, I am sorry to hear the news about the renal function. I am glad to hear they are going to monitor the situation and, hopefully, it resolves soon. My husband has had decreased renal function since his first heart surgery but it seems to have stabilized nicely. He now drinks lots of water.
Well I will start FL*4 if needed...but it appears this is system-wide...and even affects conversations...so let's see when this gets fixed....
Health update... just got back from the doctor and chest x-rays. Unfortunately, I have pneumonia in my left lung so now on Z-pak (Zithromax) and Tylenol for the fever. Feeling pretty awful so back to bed for me...
After the liver transplant my kidneys shut down completely for several days. Even after they started again they are still impaired and now I have chronic renal failure. But it could be a lot worse.
It has been a bad time here lately (health wise). Savy is still in pain and Mrs Chimpy has had this week off work.
birdie, are you sure it's your left lung and not your left wing? We all know about those Canadian left wing problems.
Sorry to hear about your SO, Chimpy It indeed is a very bad time health wise... Hopefully, C, Savy, and Mrs Chimpy will get better very soon!
I know that there are a few here that say how great the medical system is in Australia, but Mrs Chimpy went to her GP on Monday and she (GP) wants her to see a specialist. The earliest booking to see the specialist is at the end of June. This would not be too bad if we were going through the public sector but this is private. .
It appears that it does not really matter where you live...there are pluses and minuses in both systems.... I wish there could be a happy medium level.......best to your wife....I know from experience on this...
Batten down the hatches BATTEN down the hatches Central Queensland, there's a severe weather event headed this way. The Bureau of Meteorology says winds of up to 100kmh are possible along with more than 200mm of rain in a 24-hour period in some parts of the region. It warns heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding could worsen the existing flood situation in the Central Highlands and coalfields. This has sent Local Disaster Management Groups into action, with Rockhampton's to meet this morning to review the situation. Emergency Services yesterday issued warnings and urged people: "if it's flooded, forget it (entering the waters)." The impact had already been felt in Townsville yesterday as a mini-tornado swept through four suburbs, damaging 60 houses and injuring nine people. The latest information from the Bureau yesterday at 5.50pm stated locations likely to be affected by the heavy rainfall included Mackay, Longreach, Moranbah, Emerald and Gladstone. At 4pm yesterday, a tropical low was about 80kms east-northeast of Julia creek and moving in a south-south-easterly direction at 17kmh. Rockhampton BoM weather observer Brendan Bradford said there was no weather warning at this stage for Rockhampton. He said Rockhampton could expect a lot of rain today, to increase during the day and moderate to heavy falls were possible tonight and tomorrow night. Mr Bradford the forecast for Friday was for patchy rainfall and isolated thunderstorms, but that could change as the monsoon trough moved south. There is also a flood watch for coastal waters from Bowen to Yeppoon, however, Mr Bradford said local flooding, including 11 metres at Yaamba and 6m in Rockhampton along the Fitzroy River, weren't expected to occur until next week. Rockhampton Mayor Brad Carter said that would mean the closure of the Riverside Car Parks and some possible inundation of low-lying areas. Ergon Energy spokesman Bob Pleash urged people who saw fallen powerlines, to stay away and contact Ergon or police.
rethinking travel plans this may .....hmmmm perhaps i will change everything........think on this i shall
Good m/a/e all. Spring got underway here with another 23C day in my neck of the woods. Now that winter is officially over, I can only reflect back and say throughout all the years I've lived in the GTA (1998-2000 & 2007-Present), I have never witnessed any winter as mild and dry as the one we've just witnessed this 2011-12 season. Not that I'm complaining though. However, I'd be lying to you if I didn't find strange. The warmth will continue tomorrow and Thursday with highs of 24C & 23C respectively.
Evening everyone. Sorry to hear you are not feeling well Concerto. Hi Chimpy. How do you prepare for a storm like this? In Florida the government sends people into a frenzy of boarding up doors and windows and stocking lots of food and cash in anticipation of days without electricity. Long time Floridians are relatively lax about this since the "experts" can never predict with accuracy where the storm will actually make landfall until a short time prior to the event.
Could be worse on the counts on the posts.... Good luck Chimpy and Savy on the weather... And Hello Rejuv and Tondoleo
Good evening KP! How was the first day of Spring for you? We've been breaking records here. The temperature at the YYZ weather station broke old records today and yesterday.
