About mid-morning we had our smoked salmon, just a snack to tide us over. But it ended up making us quite full. About an hour after that Mrs Chimpy felt like something sweet so we got out the pavlova, note that we used the same topping as the pancakes. There was only the three of us here so no one to impress. The pav was not single serve. I did not want to give the idea that we are greedy. After another hour or so we went for the main (this plate is a single serve, one of many).. And now we are going to have some pudding, as you can see not homemade. To finish off this evening we were given a homemade christmas cake and homemade shortbread. It will be hard to fit it in, but we will give it a try.
My pleasure, we also have fruit mince pies, crisps, candy etc, but I just can't manage anything else.
We didn't do anything so spectacular. On our day off on Friday, I tutored for 5 hrs and MG for 7; however, once I got home I took a large chicken I had brined, stuffed a lemon inside it, gave it a dry rub of Cheyenne pepper, salt, pepper, paprika and garlic powder and placed it on a rack over a water bath surrounded by coals on the Weber. Put that on for 1.5hrs. Then I par cooked some potatoes, wrapped them in foil with salt, pepper and butter, and put them in the coals later. Then I steamed some red peppers and broccoli, then sauteed them in garlic and chili. We had this with San Pellegrino water and Bundaberg ginger beer. (I would have killed for a bottle of wine). Baskin Robbins for dessert. No pics sorry.
It is a bit confusing since Part 2 is still active as is 3 - but, we'll be prepared for a full switchover if needed. Kaanapali can probably fill in with the best explanation.
Hah! this made me laugh, because, me too! It's 43 degrees here now -- 6:30am -- and the weather report says it will go up to 74 today --- I'm not sure about that, since it's been 60-64 ish all week, but we'll see!
Where am I? Is this where lost poasts go? When I told Santa I wanted a new lounge, I thought he would know I meant chaise lounge...
