Actually, they have been in power only 41 years! Quite seriously, though, the problem with some of the parties that have sprung up in Alberta over the last 20 years or is that they are radical and the Wild Rose Party (who were trying to unseat the Progressive Conservatives in this election) is no exception. Yes, a change in government can be good but not to a party who is going to set this province back 30 years. We have proudly been a leader in Canada when it comes to several contentious issues and personal freedoms. I, for one, will never vote for a political party who wants to revisit gay rights/marriage, the right to obtain an abortion, or a party/party leader that makes/supports outrageous comments about superiority because of ones skin colour.

BOZO OUTBREAKS BY WILD ROSE PARTY

Hello all. Mid-day lunch at the club in the city. Such good food...and disinterested staff.

It's actually a brand new (well a year old now) shiny Electrolux. But the content is pretty much spot on. Why I spent that kind of money on a refrigerator that holds beer and ketchup packets is beyond me. I think I was entranced by the LED lights that lovingly bathe you in their warm embrace when you open the door.

And, trust me, that is a good thing. Actually, the Progressive Conservatives lost a few seats in the election yesterday and there will be a new opposition party. That can only be positive news.
